Shaving (face), how often do you shave and replace blades

I'm wondering how long will a cartridge last for you guys? I have a Gillette fusion power and plan on keeping the handle but buying Proglide power blades. (I think the orange looks better than the blue proglide handle.) Anyway currently one blade lasts for about 6 months is this normal? The blue marker is still visible. I need to shave every week. I don't feel that I could shave well when I only got some stubble (few days after). I get much nicer results if I let it grow a tiny bit, then shave. Hence the every week. I work from home and I mostly only see my girlfriend on weekends so this works for me. But how is it for you?

If my Fiancee doesn't use the blade I can get 3+ weeks out of a blade, unless I nick the blade on the counter or sink. Then I save those used blades to manscape.

i shave M-W-F and replace my blade every 6 weeks or so. i dry the razor after every use. this preserves the sharpness longer. i also sharpen the blades on my jeans occasionally by pushing the blades along the denim ten times. this also seems to help.

I have two razors, one for at home, one on the road, but I would say they last about a month to a month and a half with daily shavings.

Hm when I try to dry it on a towel, or push them along jeans or on my arm (not to remove hair), the lubrastrip gets damaged. By drying you mean like with a hairdryer?

I shave my face every day and have to change the blade after a week's worth of use. I dry the blade carefully after each shave, then put a few drops of blade oil (supposedly baby oil will work as well) on the blades, which helps prevent the blade from breaking down from the combination of water and air.
