Does your guy have a problem with you using vajayjay exercisers?

Contributor: chantalgiardina chantalgiardina
I have no idea what the problem is, but ever since I started using a vajayjay exerciser, my hubby acts funny about it. He hates that I use them, but I really like it.. Does anyone else have this problem?

I have no problem with it, in fact I encourage it! It can make the vagina tighter and give you better control with the pelvic muscles. I am surprised he is not noticing the difference.

My guy really didn't like it when I tried one and I don't really know why, but I don't use them very often because I respect his opinions and didn't find it to be that cool anyways.

My hubby doesn't care what I put into myself. I don't get the issue with Vaginal exercisers, they are a tool to help improve bladder control, muscle control, and so much more. Maybe you need to explain to him the medical benefits of them.

My husband has an issue with me sticking anything in "his" hole, but that doesn't stop me from doing it. I know if I didn't use them I would have leakage issues. We've made a compromise with my toy usage, I won't buy anything realistic looking.

Huh, my partner thinks it's cool that I'm keeping things healthy and strong down there. Have you asked him WHY he doesn't like it? Communication is KEY to a healthy relationship! I really suggest talking things out, and then setting boundaries in your relationship.

This! Pleeeease talk it out. The benefits of strengthening the kegels far outweigh any potential jealousy perceived from using them. I love my exercisers, and wouldn't give them up for the world.

My guy loves that I'm tight.

Did you explain the benefits to him, maybe he'll feel differently after he learns more about them.

I just recently started using these and my man LOVES it seems weird that a guy wouldn't like the fact that you are doing this for yourself and ultimately him too....

Lol. My man says "Noooo!" to cooter exercizes, but only because he says it's too tight, he'll end up coming even faster. Lol. I just take that as a compliment I can't say it's too tight, I don't really know, but we have been together (and very sexually active) for nearly 6 years and he does have to stop himself (Like today) when we do it so I take it as a compliment, whether it's really me being too tight or not Lol. I don't actually use products for the purpose, but I do the exercizes myself. I was just doing them last night. Hilarious actually because we were in the car and I was exercising my face (not the prettiest look! lol) and my kegels at the same time and it was hard! He was freaked out by the look on my face and when I told him what I was doing he about flipped. He thinks I'm crazy so I explained to him that I like to do the kegels for peace of mind mostly. I don't want to have a leaky bladder! Lol. It's supposed to help that and as you age, sometimes your pee leaks and I am a freak about preventing these things so I try to do them here and there. He still thinks I am crazy.

If I DID buy the balls for exercizes, which I wouldn't mind having the Kandi set (they look so nice!) he wouldn't object. He wouldn't ever tell me I COULDn't do something, but he'd jokingly complain and say "woman, you're already tight enough." If your partner truly hates that you do it, he may just be worried that he'll come too soon and doesn't want to feel embarrassed. Then again, it could be control? I don't see any other reason for a man to "hate" this kind of thing. Is he like this with other things or do you think there's a reason he really doesn't like them?

I've contemplated getting one for my wife because she is having some stress incontinence from sneezing and coughing for example. She doesn't have one - but it would never be in issue for me if she did.

He doesn't seem to have a problem with it because it's just something that I like and I don't he sees it as anything threatening.

I think doing kegels should be a daily thing and whatever helps. It is analogous to brushing your teeth. A regular toothbush works fine, but an electric tooth brush works better and if you can afford a sonicare or similar quality toothbrush it helps your oral health. I think kegel "toys" are tools just like an electric toothbrush. Would you put up with a man telling you how to take care of your teeth? You have to take care of yourself and if a toy helps you, do it!!!

Any man would have to be crazy not to like the idea. What is the down side ?

It sounds like he feels threatened by it. Maybe he feels it's a statement that he's not enough for you. He probably doesn't understand the benefits for both of you that using vaginal exercisers will bring.

I have two suggestions for you.

1) Suggest to him that you both do kegel exercises because they are not just for women. Men have a pelvic floor too and also benefit from strengthening it. I haven't verified this, but someone said there was a study where viagra-like benefits for men resulted from men doing kegels. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that male orgasms were stronger in men with strong pelvic floors.

2) Do kegels without an exerciser. Exercisers can be a nice addition to a kegel exercise routine, but you really can make as much or nearly as much progress without them. Even if you can't convince him of the health and mutual sexual benefits, you can still do them.

Until I explained the specific purpose of my exercisers my boy thought they were just normal toys in my stash. He doesn't have a problem with my other toys and doesn't have a problem with the exercisers.

I don't use one, but I've debated looking into it. I doubt he'd care.

I bought the balls, and I didn't like them much. My now ex didn't really notice a difference or mind my use.

Oh...as an add-on, I wouldn't care what my partner thinks of my toy/exerciser usage. What I do masturbation-wise is not subject to his rules/likes/dislikes.
