Honestly, "Sex Drive and Mileage"? What, exactly, is this heading supposed to be about? Mileage???

We love EF, We love the Forums. Up till now we have stuck to the "general sex" questions, but are now venturing out, as we learn our way around. However, we cannot figure out the real "common thread" in this subheading. What does "mileage" mean here? At first we figured, "does sex drive wane or change with AGE (ie."Mileage") but we don't see any of that in the questions. These topics are all over the place. SO...what do YOU think this heading is about???

Our thinking is that is just a general area for those of us who have been together for many years (24 in our case). We agree it is rather nebulous.

I use the term "Your mileage may vary" a lot. That means "This is my very opinionated opinion and experience. YOU may find your own experience, feeling and response to this thing the same or very different. I acknowledge that everyone feels different about this issue, so my opinion is only how I feel."

It means, at least to me, that everyone has different experiences and responds to them differently. That way, it cuts down on comments like "Gross!" or "Why don't you like (whatever)? What's wrong with you?"

In the context of this heading, I think it means how much "mileage" you put on your sex life. Your "sexual mileage" (how often, what kind, with who, how you feel about it) varies from time to time. Just like your sex drive.
