Is stressing affecting my sex drive?

Contributor: CRAZYSEXYONE CRAZYSEXYONE
I have been going to college for the past 16 months I am at the end of my schooling, I have noticed that this last year my sex drive has really slowed down... Would the stress of school really effect my sex drive that much and seeing after this week i am done with school do you think with the stress from school gone do you think it could pick up again?

It certainly does and is one of the main reasons that the longer you are in a relationship the more likely your sex drives are to lessen. Not necessarily because you're less attracted or don't enjoy sex, but because stress of new jobs over time, maybe kids, school, moving, ALL of that can stress you out and ALL of them can be reasons why your sex drive would lessen.

It happens to all of us from time to time!

that's what I was figuring I just could not get it through my husbands head that it is nothing against him I just am not thinking of that here lately..lol I have been dealing with final exams and figuring out where i am going to try to get a job. I feel bad though and I have forced myself to give it up if you want to say that but I know that he knows that my heart was not into it. The only time I actually feel I want to do anything is when i have been drinking and everything that is stressing me is not on my mind. He blames it on us getting married, but if he would actually look at the time line we got married two weeks after i started school. With school ending this week i really hope things turn around =) thanks for taking the time to post

My last partner definitely lost his drive when the stress of working got to him. Then he started going back to school, and that brought it down even more.
I found that for myself, stress just brings my drive higher. It's a coping mechanism of sorts.
Stress can definitely do that to someone, though. It'll come back!

Yes. I know when I'm stressed and/or depressed my sex drive lowers drastically. Which in turn stresses me out even more. UGH!
