I have, but only when I was upset beforehand. If I was aggravated or pissed off about something before having sex, then I will space out and become distant because I feel used for my penis.

Most of the time, we just lie apart to cool off and reflect silently (or not think at all while our brains reset). I don't know about spacing out, but if it happens, it's a positive kind of spacing out.

Well thats not quiet the situation that me and my boyfriend are in. We both space out after sex in general....i don't think me and my boyfriend have ever even had sex when we are angry

Yeah, the recovery period when you're coming back to earth very slowly - easy to space out. Mulder and I do it a lot and it's a very relaxed time when we're in a 'nowhere place' and only feel the other's body and are unaware of anything else.

I do it sometimes, and then other times I don't. I think it just depends on how mind-blowing the sex is, what kind of mood I'm in, and how sleepy I am!

I do sometimes. I think because I'm so worn out by then.

Sometimes, after a particularly good romp. Interestingly enough, I've read that the part of the brain involved with "spiritual experiences" are also engaged during sex.

Yeah, it actually happens to me and my husband. I wonder why it happens...

Oh yeah. That's why I don't like a.m. sex. I'll get nothing done.

Are you talking about the buzz? Yeah, it's great. But, like Heather, when we have morning sex (which is often) I just want to groove on the endorphin buzz for hours and don't get a lot done, because I keep flashing on the fun we had. At night, oddly enough, I get energetic and want to do things, after enjoying the buzz for a while. Go figure.

I think that's relatively normal, I know of a lot of my friends spacing out in particularly. Sexual discussion is pretty common amongst us. I'm pretty sure that's just the aftermath of a great orgasm.

I space out the worst when we have sex in the late afternoon. I'm okay in the morning, and even at night. But in the middle of the day or right before dinner? Forget it, I'm a goner for the rest of the evening!

It definitely happens to me sometimes too. The whole dizzying, "lala land" type of feeling.

yes, this happens occasionally. Right after the orgasm there's a moment when your mind is perfectly clear

My brain kind of goes blank and I basically can't move for a little while
