There's more complications for getting your tubes tied so I'd def prefer him do it. If he refused then maybe I'd consider it, or I might just make him wear condoms every time until he did.

I've been asking to be approved for sterilization since I was, like, 12 years old - no lie! I have always known I don't want children. Obviously you can't be tying a preteen's tubes, but even after I hit 18 doctors wouldn't listen to me. Now that I'm around my mid twenties they are finally starting to take me seriously, but my gyno told me that IUDs are honestly the better method (same efficacy, quicker procedure, no surgery required, much less expensive, lower recovery period after insertion) so I've just been sticking with mine. That's the only thing keeping me from having the procedure done, tbh.
