Hey guys! It’s that time of year when we are all looking around, feeling thankful for the joy and the people in our lives. It’s also that time of year when EdenFantasys joins up with the AIDS Service Center of New York City to support World AIDS Day, December 1st. There are many things that we can be joyful about, and there are things that we can support in the hopes of one day bringing joy, and in this case, a cure, for the others around us. We have a few really exciting plans in place that we need your help with!
Fundraiser:
In an effort to get our fabulous community involved with ASC work, we are bringing back our wildly successful Twitter fundraiser! To help raise money, all you have to do is retweet our dedicated hashtag, #WAD2011 sometime between Nov 25th and Dec 1st. If our hashtag, #WAD2011, gets 1,000 tweets from 1,000 people, we’ll give ASC NYC $1,000! We managed to meet our goal last year, so I know we can make it this year!
Copy and paste: Support #WAD2011! @EdenFantasys is donating $1 to @ASCNYC for every retweet! Support ASC and 20 years of positive change!
World AIDS Day Support Video:
EdenFantasys will be building another montage video to premier on World AIDS Day! The video will feature photos and short video messages from the EF staff, as well as our community. You are the true faces of EdenFantasys and our commitment to sex-positive and sexual health, so we’d love to show you off to the world!
What you can share:
Short and sweet statements of support! Submit a photo or video of you holding a sign with a message or even just a red ribbon – something pertinent to World AIDS Day. No videos longer than 30 seconds, please. We want to include as many clips from as many people as we can, so it’s important to keep it on point. Also, no need to “produce” the video clips with credits or intros – we will add it in the complete montage! W
Videos: Film a short video of yourself delivering a short message or holding a sign or banner that conveys your message. Feel free to be creative with any sort of visual that conveys your message of support. You don't have to show your face to contribute, but are welcome to do so if you choose.
Photos: Just take a photo or two of yourself holding a sign that conveys your message, or with a fun visual that conveys your message of support. You don't have to show your face to contribute, but are welcome to do so if you choose. JPEG’s only please!
How to share:
Do NOT upload to Eden Tube.
Uploading is SO easy! Go to this link and you can upload either video or your photos (JPEG’s).
*Please use WAD2011 in the FILE NAME, and make sure you fill out the description with the name you want credited (real name or handle, your choice!), any sentiments or a message you want to share; which we might add as text on your clip or photos or use in the credits of the video.
