Where I go to college, all of the RAs keep condoms on their doors for anyone that needs them. Several of them throw candy in there as well. One of my favorite RAs definitely took the gold, though - he threw in candy and little packets of lube as well as little gift bags he made. His bags contained flavored dental dams, more lube, more candy, a brightly colored/glow-in-the-da rk condom, and a pamphlet on STD protection and treatment.
As a result, I noticed people that might not otherwise take condoms (because of embarrassment, most usually) taking protection that I think came in handy later. With this one RA, a lot of people even would come up to him and complement him on his gift bags - which was usually rewarded with another hand-made gift bag.
Have any of you had any sort of experience with this, whether in college? Or do you wish you had had something like this? If you were in a situation where you had to make safe sex a popular option, how might you go about doing it?
