Flowing together

I remember when I was younger, the entire house of girls used to be on their period together. I read an article saying that the hormones from females rub off on the females around them, causing them all to have a similar menstrual cycle. Was it ever like this in your home?

Yep. My BFF/roommate and I would get them around the same time. Usually within a day of each other. Oddly, my mom and I didn't, but we weren't emotionally close when I was living there.

I've never lived in a house with another menstruating female (by the time I was just starting mine, my mom was having a hysterectomy). I'm curious to find out if my best friend and I sync up once we move in together

seemed to be the case when I lived with 3 other females in the dorms, first year during college.

Yes! I remember reading that as a teen. I do think it can be true in some cases. Not sure why though. I grew up with my twin and I and my mom in a house with my dad! Lol. Poor guy had to deal with 4 females (older sis too. but she moved out while I was still very young). Anyways, my twin's was before mine about 5 days and then I had mine then about 2 days after,my mom would have hers! What sucked was my twin would use all of our tampons and I would seriously be stuck with nothing for sometimes a day at a time! It was cruel! Thankfully, now I have been on meds that stop my periods (helps with endometriosis) for about 7 years now although a few months ago I had a FREAK period and it was awful. Other than that, I dont have to worry about not having tampons now. Lol.

All the females in my fam have had severe problems with our cycles. Endometriosis affected me and my mom and twin have very abnormally heavy ones. I had surgery to help with the periods and endometriosis and take medication to stop them. My mom had surgery several years ago as well. I'm sure all the surgeries have made my dad's life much easier! Lol.

But yes, we all did have periods super close. Even now,I still have pretty bad period symptoms like severe cramps, moodiness, cravings, bloating, stomach problems, etc. & My older sis and I are about 2 days apart and my twin and I are less than 1 week apart! My mom doesn't have hardly any period anymore though.

This happened every year in the dorms. My roommate, two suite mates and I would eventually be within two weeks of each other. My best friend and I lived together for three years, and I've always had my period within five days of her cycle starting.

I've also become good friends with two girls at my office, and we recently discovered that we're all on our periods at the same time!

For a while one of my friends and I who spent a lot of time together were synced up. I was on the pill and getting them regularly, and then hers started happening when mine did.

I've never experienced this with anyone, mostly because growing up the only woman I lived with was my mother, who went through menopause when I was about seven. Before my best friend and I went on the pill, we did have very similar cycles - we would start within a day or so of each other - but we didn't live near each other. She lived in Indiana, and I lived in Georgia. So I guess that was just more or less coincidence.

It's still like that, usually I'll get mine and then my mother will wind up getting hers right around the same day.
But with my cycle tending to be really short a lot of the times I'll be done a few days before she is...she hates that a little and jokingly calls me lucky. xD

Yup, happened to me and several friends, and sort of to my ex-girlfriend and me.

This is annoyingly true; all of the women at my job are together.
