Can your hymen "regrow" somewhat if you haven't had sex in a while?

I'm not talking about the concept of virginity. Virginity is what you make it. When I first had sex, I had never broken my hymen and it tore. After that my hymen was never in the way and sex was painless. I look at myself often in a mirror and noticed my hymen had mostly eroded away. After no sex and no vaginal insertion for about a year, I looked at myself again and it seems my hymen has grown back somewhat. It doesn't cover as much of my vagina as it used to, but it's larger. What is this? Does it repair itself after a while or am I just seeing things?

Seems no on has answered this, I don't know if it's because no one noticed, or what, but sometimes you get less answers if questions have been asked before (I found this out the hard way lol) so here is a link to answer the question: here.

If you go up to the top of the Eden page where you search for toys, type in a couple of "key words" and then click the "discussions" tab when you get your results. That way you will see if there's already an answer for you

And since this is a newer thread, I'll leave my answer here as there seems to be a lot of misconceptions about the hymen in the other thread. It doesn't "tear" (or rather, shouldn't). It stretches. If it covered your whole vaginal opening, you couldn't menstruate until after you lost your virginity, right? Exactly. That's something people don't think about. If it DOES cover the entire area (or nearly the entire area), that's a serious medical condition which needs to have surgery done on it. Your hymen is just a thin membrane (which may be thicker on some people and cover more area than others) which partially covers part of your vaginal opening. If you take it really slow your first time (or after a large break) and use a lot of lube, you may not even bleed because you're not "popping" anything. You're just stretching it. And if you have not had sex or vaginal masturbation over a long period of time, it CAN "spring back" to its original location (or near it). So yes, you CAN be a "born-again virgin". This is what you are experiencing. It's really sad how many women don't know about their own bodies. I know I didn't before I did some research and it seems many of the women in that other thread don't, either. I hope I've helped and I'm going to leave a link to an informative (and funny) video which tells you all about the hymen:

Thank you, Nazaress. I've often wondered how people think their menstrual blood gets through if they believe everything's "closed up". Makes it sound like a blister pack or something ...
