Does anyone here use a menstrual cup?

I found that I didn't even need to use a pad. At all. Even if there was barely anything in the cup, I just used it anyway.

I'm surprised by how many people here use them! I've never even heard about them before I read this thread and looked them up. I guess it's really cost effective!

I like the idea of having a menstrual-catching device that is reusable, cost-efficient, and nicer on the enviroment than pads or tampons, but I don't think a menstrual cup is for me. My reason is simple: It's very likely that I would find it uncomfortable. During my period, I only use pads, because, even though one isn't supposed to be able to feel a tampon when it is properly in place, I can, and I find it very uncomfortable. I think that a menstrual cup would be even worse. My periods are often very painful, and I think that a cup might aggravate the situation.

I use instead. I love it, except....that one day of the month when the flow is really heavy. I think it works great every other day, and it allows for "clean" sex, BONUS!

Oh I guess the difference is that instead can be worn during sex....it is advertised as such, and diva cup cannot. Too bad! I'll just stick with instead.

My best female friend used the Diva Cup and she really liked it, but I personally don't use them.

I'm not sure if I posted here, but now that my wallet is much tighter than before, I'm highly interested in trying one. I don't like using tampons because they tend to leave particles inside of me, and pads feel like diapers.

I don't use one and I've only known one person who did and liked them. I don't even care for tampons, so having a cup in there just seems... uncomfortable to me.

I l-o-v-e my Diva cup. It takes a little bit longer to change and clean up when you are using the cup, but you only have to change it every 12 hours instead of ever 3-4 with a tampon. I have been using a cup for 18 months now and only once have I had to change/clean it while in public. I was on a fence about switching over for a long time, but I am so happy I took the plunge and switched. SOOOO much more comfortable. When inserted properly you can barely feel them, and you can use the restroom without having to change your cup. I was out shopping with my 2 BFF's and we were all on our cycle. I am the only one who uses and cup, and I was in and out of the bathroom while they had to change tampons/pads every couple hours.
