Fat vulva

Contributor: SecretToyLover2 SecretToyLover2
Started joining a women's tennis team. Nothing professional. Just fun. We hit the spas afterwards and see each other naked quite a bit. My friend and I both realized we have chunky vulvas. Neither of us are obese, but slightly overweight by maybe 20 pounds or less. However my vulva always looked chunky even when I was a twig in high school. I felt so embarrassed wearing a swimsuit because it looked like I carried men's junk!

It's chunky in the front pelvic area and my lips are a little fat. My OB/GYN claims half the women he sees have chunky vulvas but I never see that anywhere in magazines or movies. Everyone else's seems so tiny! Especially in our tennis group. Almost makes me want to get work done.

Does anyone else have a chunky vulva/pelvic/pubic area.

Woops. I missed the second vote about being overweight, so I'll say it here.

I do have a fat cooter, and I am not overweight. It doesn't bother me, and never really has. I guess it's something I have kind of embraced. Everyone's is different, and it doesn't matter what size you or your crotch is. My partner says he LOVES the chubby thing. Ha Ha. Don't be embarrassed. I hate that for you.

Oh and the worst thing you can do is look in mags and movies! Goodness, they have been so airbrushed. If you're going to look through those mags, I recommend you do a search on those people "before they were airbrushed." You'll feel completely different! I've seen the posts outing certain magazines by showing the before and after photos! Some of the people are outraged when their photos appear airbrushed/edited in a magazine, and they speak out about it. Look it up online and I'm sure you'll find the real photos.

I really hope you are able to come to love your vagina and not get work done! Dear God, you have to research the negative things that can happen from that. Loss of sensation, ongoing pain. I used to hate my labia, well one of them because one is large and scraped my jeans causing discomfort, always gets tugged during sex and is ugly to me, so I considered work. No way! After I learned the possibly effects, I think I immediately started loving my labia just a smidgen more, just thinking about how awful they could end up -- pain, no sensation.

Don't worry. Mine is not tiny. I'm with you. And my partner really doesn't care. He grabs it! And says "oooh! It makes me grit my teeth cause it's cute." So I'm sure your own partner(s) have no issue with yours, if that is something you're worried about. Honestly, I highly doubt men see fat cooters as ugly. I really don't think anybody does. I don't. I don't think a "skinny" cooter is nicer looking.

I am sorry you feel badly though, I know what it's like to feel like crap about your body. I really do. But I know sometimes, you can end up loving a certain part you once hated and I hope that you do end up loving it instead of feeling bad about it. It can happen. Things can change. I just hate for any girl to feel bad about herself. It makes me sad.

Anyways, just know you aren't alone. I think you should do a poll for the guys, asking what they think of cooter size. Maybe more perspective would give you a better idea what other's think and maybe even show you that it's not something considered "ugly."

The fat pad is there so that you can have sex without bruising and pain. It is for your protection so embrace it (sometimes literally)!

And I agree, no one should look to magazines for an idea of what women truly look like.

I never really thought about it until my husband mentioned how much he loved the way it looked. I am larger, but even when I was thin it was bigger. I think it looks sexier on a woman to have a little 'chunk' there, plus it keeps everything more comfortable.

I have a HUGE mons pubis. I also have pretty large labia. I think that having a large mons pubis embarrasses me more than having large labia, because I notice it when I wear tights and such.

Love your body how it is!

My wife has a chunky vulva, as you put it, and I don't think there's any reason for you to be ashamed or concerned. I love it and think of it this way, how boring would it be if we all looked alike.

This is a really good point about having sex without bruising and pain. I don't have a lot of fat on my mons pubis and man, I'm pretty constantly sore and bruising. After a good pegging session, THAT hurts. :\

I have a chunky vulva and bigger outer lips and I'm not overweight so I understand where you're coming from but it's nothing to be ashamed of. Sure lots of girls have smaller ones but there are lots more you don't know about that have bigger ones. We're all different looking and shaped differently so I don't think having a chunky/tiny vulva should really concern anyone all that much.

First of all, magazines and most photo porn/erotica are definitely photoshopped. See this documentary for proof!

Vulvas are actually extremely variable in their measurements, sizes, and shapes. Before you go thinking about chopping it up, think about why you would want to look like everyone else (or what you think everyone else looks like). What if everyone got surgery to make their noses look the same? Where's the fun in that?

I used to get worked up about my lippy vagina, but then I realized I was actually concerned about the stereotypes about big vulvas. Contrary to popular belief, the look of your genitals is genetic, and not a sign of "looseness" or anything. Just ask your partner. We should be getting rid of those stereotypes, not trying to make everyone fit into one definition of beauty.

I notice this on porn all the time. It always seems like the thinnest girls have the bigger pouches. Nothing wrong with any of them. They are all sexy.

Okay, forget everything else in this posting and focus, if you will, on what the OB said. Someone who SEE'S "vulvu's up close and personal" every single day. "Half the woman I see have chunky vulva's". So? HALF means it is about as average and normal as it gets. What defines "chunky"? Really.

If half are one way and half are another, you might say there are thinner or plumper vulva's and that's fine...since both would be flat out normal. In fact, trust me, BOTH are "flat out normal"!!!!

Most critically, perhaps, is that the only one who thins might matter to would be your lover, and if they are happy with your girlie parts, then enjoy the pleasure they give you and please don't spend a moment fretting if they are dark or light, pink or brown, thin or thick, long or short...etc. It does not matter one tiny bit, in the scheme of the universe.

Just enjoy!!!

Exactly true. However, like everywhere else, certain woman get cast more in porn and so their "body type" is probably not the average persons. They are "selling" image, so like any "models", they usually have tight and tiny bodies, for the most part.

Yes for me and I'm overweight but I never thought about it before, it is what it is and I'm not concerned about it. Also don't look at magazines, it's all fake, listen to your gynecologist instead, he says half of women he sees has chunky vulvas and that's a lot. I'm pretty sure a lot of guys find it sexy too.

Look at your post...you say "love your body" and then you say you are "embarrassed" about your appearance in tight jeans. I would bet, no question, that many people think you look MORE sexy, more feminine and more desirable in those tight jeans, and that may be one reason. Thus, follow your own advice and forget the "embarrassment". I promise you are amazing just the way you are!!!!

Thanks for putting that in. My hubby dated a girl who was "rail thin" as he puts it. She was healthy, but all bones...very little body fat (serious marathon runner, before that sport was even popular) and yes, sometimes, he says, sex hurt as he was running into bones!!!!

My hubby wants to be the first to answer your "cooter size" poll. He says "I have seen my fair share, and I have never seen one that was not deliciously (figuratively and literally) beautiful and desirable".

I am not thin and my weight does fluctuate. No matter what I've always felt like my vulva was a bit bigger but not so much that it's bothered me. I also have a large inner labia which used to bother me but I mostly over that now.

Thanks everyone, I just it just bothers me when I put my running sweats on or a bikini and it looks like I am storing a man's junk. I can't even wear half the thongs sold here on EF because they are too narrow in front and my mons pubis is too wide. The mons pubis is just so FAT. I guess I need some time and help to love my body...

absolutely this. Us poor ladies have enough to worry about physically without getting into our genital region. I watched a similar documentary about it.

Interestingly enough, I read that the reason girls in magazines have "small" labias is to get around some obscenity laws that consider seeing labia as just too graphic. So it either gets tucked in or photoshopped out. This should not be a trend for us to follow.

I'm quite healthy at my weight but most people would consider it underweight, it's really not for my body type. I don't have any chunk on me, anywhere, but I've seen plenty of females who have fattier lips that are otherwise normal/skinny, it's quite normal. I'd HIGHLY urge you to NOT get work done on them! Learn to love them, a lot of men find it attractive

also my "mons pubis" is "sans-mons", it's just bone, that's just my body type, it's just as normal as a fatty mons pubis.
