Im only 22 and my period has stopped since I was 19.
I dont know whats going on but i think it might be because i gained weight.
So im trying to lose it, and since I don't have my period I can't get pregnant.

I do want to have a baby and we've been trying but Im so confused.
I have an appt in feb so im hoping this can be fixed.

Has it happend to anyone ?

PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) runs in my family and quite a few of my aunts and cousins have gained weight and had their period stop because of it. Have you had your Doctor check you for PCOS before? It can be diagnosed with a simple blood test. I would bring that up as a suggestion.

Most of them had luck regulating their cycle by taking birth control once they got a positive diagnosis. And with that came weightloss. It wasn't a magic fix for their weight, but it made it easier. As for when they were trying to get pregnant, they used low doses fertility drugs and other things and all of them had successful pregnancies.

That aside, yes it could just be that your period stopped because you gained weight without even having PCOS. Or it could be stress, and that could have caused one or both of those symptoms. There are many possibilities, really.

Good luck hun! I hope you and your Doctor can figure out what's going on. Keep us updated.
