I wash when I shower which is a couple of times a week, but I've been told it's fine down there in between showers. I usually use those moist wipe things to get extra clean in between showers, or during my period. I never felt the need to have a "feminine wash" and douching is just a bad idea.

I've only douched a couple of times, and only right after finishing my period. But I'm the same way when I'm in the shower, I also use Summer's Eve wash. And sometimes if I feel particularly "dirty" I'll wash it twice in the shower.

I wash my hair (on my head) twice, sometimes 3 times. I used to wash it, like, four times when I was a young teen due to it being really oily.

So, when I am bathing, I also tend to wash my vulva three or four times in the time it takes me to bathe or shower. I also shave, so I get everything really soapy to shave and I count that as a wash. Especially in the summer, I find I tend to need a shower half way through the day if I only wash it once the night before. My Man has NEVER had any complaints. Like a lot of men, he likes the smell of feminine sweat and lubrication and will often grab me before I can get into the tub! (I would probably only do it twice, but I have real OCD and have a thing about numbers....4 is better.... never mind.)

I actually prefer either Sliquid's Feminine Wash or Bath and Body Works Cream Body Wash for all of me, including my feminine parts.

I really prefer Sliquid Splash Feminine Wash to anything you can buy at the store. It is free of most irritants and I use the unscented wash.

I try to give a quick wash every time I shower which pretty much every other day and sometimes several days in a row. If im sweaty or have been working out I will difintely clean up. Just the once in the shower is good enough.I have also read somewhere and my told me, that washing the inner part of the vagina too much can cause a shift in the PH of the vagina itself.

I shower twice a day, morning and night so it get a wash twice, every day at least. In summer I've been known to shower4-5 times in a day. I hate to feel sticky and sweaty. Drives me nuts.

I do have certain habits in the shower which I guess might be a little odd. I wash in the same sequence every single time. From top toe toe and if for some reason I go out of sequence I feel odd and have to restart. I wash my hair and put conditioner in, brush my teeth then face mask mask or face wash depending on the day, and from them I scrub my way downward then rinse and shave.

Miss Nessa, you might want to be careful of washing too much. Vaginas naturally take care of themselves and too much washing can upset the delicate ecosystem, as well. That's why I leave mine alone for the most part. Anything that changes my chemistry even the slightest leads me to some issues.

I couldn't believe it when I saw the title of this thread. I immediately thought of my obsessive-compulsive NEED to wash my genital-anal area three times while in the shower. When I clicked on the thread to see that this is exactly what you were describing, I must say I was shocked! It's good to know someone else has this same compulsion (or maybe I should feel sorry for you--for us! ).

Yes, I also have to wash this area three times. I simply cannot get out of the shower until I do. I feel like my entire day would be ruined, and I become stressed when I even consider the possibility of not washing three times. I do sometimes worry about upsetting the pH balance of the vagina by washing so much, but since my washing is external (though I wash thoroughly inside the folds of the labia minora and majora), I don't have a problem as long as I am using a gentle soap such as unscented Dove for sensitive skin or unscented Sliquid Splash (which I love). My husband teases me about my "magical number" for washing this area. (I don't have to do everything three times--I am stuck on three only when it comes to washing that particular area.)

I also wash in a certain order from top to bottom: starting with shampooing, then applying conditioner, combing it through, clipping my hair up to let the conditioner soak in, then washing my face and neck, and then washing my ears (oh, actually that is another area where I am stuck on three: I daily wash the inner area of the outer formation of my ears--not the ear canals themselves--three times with soapy fingertips until they are squeaky clean; I also wash behind the ears). I then soap up my arms and my entire torso (which includes my first genital-anal wash) and rinse, and then resoap my armpits and shave. I then do my second wash of the genital and anal area, rinse, and then resoap again. If I am out of shaving gel, I will use the third soaping as a chance to shave (if I do have shaving gel, I will apply it after the third wash to shave). I also shave the anal area. I then soap up my legs and feet and shave this area too. (I shave all the areas described daily: crotch, anal, full length of legs, and armpits.) Then I rinse thoroughly, concentrating especially on my ears being rinsed extra well, and then take the clip out of my hair to rinse the conditioner, and I'm done. I also always rinse my mouth out in the shower. I'm not sure why since I am already fanatical enough about my brushing routine.

When you say you wash internally, do you mean that you just wash inside the folds of the labia minora and labia majora? Other than douching, I have no idea how you would wash the internal area (the vagina). As others have mentioned, that (douching--or introducing water, vinegar, or other forms of cleaner into the vaginal canal) is not healthy and can cause problems, which ironically includes the overabundant growth of odor-producing bacteria.

Mine is a little OCD too. I have a problem with even numbers too. I start with washing my hair, rinsing it, then applying conditioner and leaving it until the end of the shower, then soap up my arm pits, shave them, then wash my body, arms, neck (arm pits again) and first time washing ass and vagina. Then rinse everything off. Then I wash my ass and vagina a second time. I feel like I wash it a second time to make it smell good (the first time to get all the bad smells away and any dirt or anything of that sort). Then I wash the conditioner out. I wash my face and ears and brush my teeth after my shower. I clean my ears repeated with Q tips wet and dry.

I'm a little bit OCDish about keeping everything clean too. I take a shower in the morning and one and night and if things get to feeling icky i will use the wipes. I have a fear of smelling too.

Im on the it probably cant be that healthy train. Both physically and mentally. I think its like little kids whos parents freak out every time they touch something and wipe them down. I think your body wont be able to fight anything off if something happens because your so used to babying it from any sort of dirt.

Im a clean girl. My boyfriend has never complained, Ive asked even. I will rinse myself off really thoroughly during a shower down there but I cant use any sort of soap or Ill get an infection, I got one a ton of times as a little kid before my mom took me to a doctor and figured that one out. But even if I could I just don't think its healthy for my vagina's ecosystem to do that.

Usually I wash it twice in the shower. Sometimes less, sometimes more, but usually about 2 times. I don't have any infections, so I don't have to worry about smells, I just want to make sure there's no smegma or anything. But I also don't want to totally wash away my normal scent, because it's pretty pleasant.

I, too, am afraid of stinking down there. I don't like my "natural" smell. I know people say it's a turn-on, but if my man doesn't wash himself thoroughly and I smell a bit of ball smell, I don't like it-why subject him to the same? Each time I shower, I only wash myself once but I will usually shower twice a day. It used to be more during my period, but that was getting rediculous so I bought some baby wipes and have been using them before each pad change (and also after I go to the bathroom #2, if I've already taken my morning or evening shower.)

I thought I was the only one with OCD showering habits. I guess not. My vag is the only thing I don't wash several times, though. I just have a very particular order to what I do in the shower.
1. Wash my face and neck
2. Wash my hair
3. Shave my legs
4. Wash my body (excluding my vag)
5. Wash my hair again
6. Apply conditioner
7. Shave underarms and other areas that may need it
8. Rinse conditioner
9. Wash face and body again
10. Wash vag

When I do finally wash my vag, I use unscented Sliquid Splash. I used to use soap, but that dried me out and I got infections too often. I'm really sensitive. I've never had a problem with smell, though. Maybe a very light, natural scent, but nothing offensive. Just natural lady smell. My boyfriend has said I am the only woman he's been with who didn't smell bad at all ever. I take that as a huge compliment and a relief because I used to worry about it, too.

I wash my girlie love bits when ever I shower. Which is every day or every other day. I tend to use all natural soap which I use all over my body. I have special soaps just for my vagina which are p.h. balanced (an all natural yogurt soap) which I find is really awesome if you suffer from sensitive skin as I do. I also eat very well (lots of fruit and veggies) and I've never suffered from stinky vag. My fiance has actually said that my vagina smells like bubble gum, so I would say the mix of all natural products and a healthy diet = happy vag town smells.
