Im 36 weeks pregnant and seem to be hornier now than ever. I was just wondering how much sex(if any at all) people have while pregnant. I know some people are not allowed while pregnant due to certain circumstances of the pregnancy. some just dont prefer it at all. how often did you and your partner keep things alive in the bedroom(during pregnancy) before your little ones came along?

Nothing really changed for us with any of my pregnancies. Towards the very end, like last week or so maybe but that was it.

It depends on which pregnancy we're talking about here. With my first pregnancy, I had a lot of complications and infections, so it made it much more difficult to have sex. I tried to get it as often as my body would let me but I had a much douchier partner during that pregnancy.
My second pregnancy, as soon as I found out, the partner and I had split. I had very little sex that year... Third pregnancy, we kept it a secret for a really long time and this tended to make us feel almost like I wasn't pregnant at all. We had lots of sex during my 3rd pregnancy - when we weren't arguing!
Finally, my 4th pregnancy, with a new partner altogether, the sex continued right on up until the very end. I believe the morning before I went into labor we were still having sex. The Boyfriend was more sexually active during that time, even though he was working harder than he is now and thus more exhausted. It was essentially whatever I wanted, I was given and I wanted sex all the time with my 4th. It was the first pregnancy I was really truly excited and happy about, so sex was a frequent and wonderful occurrence.

For some reason this last time I only did it once or twice. At that point my ex was not appealing to me. Too many issues to list. For my first one it was almost all the time.

I said rarely, as in I know we had sex exactly once during the second trimester and that was it. I have a lot of irrational hangups, and I just couldn't do it.

We only resumed sex when I was six months pregnant, want to make sure we're not harming the baby, and we only did it in the spoon position.

We're going back 20 & 21 years here - so I'm going from fuzzy memories! Since nothing stands out in my mind I'm going to say not much changed. But unfortunately at that point in our lives sex was fairly infrequent - a couple times/month. Luckily things are much better now!

I talked to my OB and made it clear this would tear us apart as sex is how My Man and I communicate, bond and let off steam.
We decided to have gentle sex, a little less frequently than when I wasn't pregnant, My Man didn't come inside me (as semen is a prostaglandin, and can trigger preterm contractions) and some of the time, I would trigger the orgasm myself, as self induced orgasms are less intense for me, and less likely to trigger contractions. I also would use aspirin after sex, to offset the prostaglandin induced contractions.
I carried most of my babies to term. 38, 39 and 36 weeks respectively. Only one preterm in the bunch.
But, I have quadruple high risk pregnancies, due to preterm labor, a history of miscarriage, high blood sugar, an android (constricted) pelvis and a few other things. Most women do NOT have to take these precautions and can have sex mostly as they usually do.
