Well not a period in the way that we think of, you will not shed your lining, you will not have a heavy flow, if you do have a heavy flow or cramping you may be having a miscarriage. You can totally SPOT during pregnancy though. If you have any concerns go to your doctor.

It isn't a "period", so no...you cannot have a period and be pregnant at the same time. However, you can have bleeding/spotting that can appear to be a period if you're used to having lighter flow (not something I have ever experienced).

I'm 19 weeks pregnant and early on, there was spotting/light bleeding that we suspected might be another early miscarriage, but luckily it was not this time around!

I second pretty much everything P'Gell said. Full on period? I highly doubt it. But you can get implantation bleeding, which is very common. It was heavy enough with my first that I went to the emergency room because I didn't know what was happening. The doc thought at first I was miscarrying, but I wasn't. With my second one, the spotting was very light.

I've heard it's possible. Not really sure, though.

You can have vaginal bleeding but it is not ACTUALLY a period. It can be easily mistaken for one though.

I think it's possible, but not as common as people think it is. Many women mistake implantation bleeding for their period. When my doc had me on clomid I got a lot of pregnancy symptoms, but never got pregnant.

Yes! My mother had her period for the first few months of her pregnancy with my youngest brother. Because she was getting her period she didn't think she was pregnant.
