Menstrual Migraines

I'm not sure if this is really sexual health.. but I get severe migraines the few days before and leading into my period. I've gotten them for years and no pain killer will help, I've tried 11 prescription ones and over the counter ones. The only thing that worked was birth control in high school, but after two years of being on it and not having them I stopped the pill because the problem seemed to have gone away. However, they came back a year later and now birth control won't do anything, in fact I'm having them longer. I've been on three different birth controls now and I feel like I'm out of options. They're clearly hormonal induced but I don't know what else to do. Any advice?

Ive had a headache 3 days mow. Today i started my period and have it still. Asprins never work for me either for these headaches, i just try and deal. I also get nausea during my period and before it. But some months are better than others, it really varies for me.

I am the same exact way! I was told mine were so unbearable around my time because of having endometriosis! I actually am on my 3rd day of "menstrual migraine" time right as we speak... or type. Lol. I hate it and have taken pain killer and BC powder for the past 3 days. Mine usually last 4 days straight and lighten up. They'll be bad headaches sometimes after, but the 4 days of migraines are horrible. They ruin everything! We were taking one of the kids out last night for his 13 B-day and I couldn't even stand to be in the restaraunt because it was so loud and I had just lightened the migraine with a very strong pain killer and it was back and full blown before we left the place. I hate it because I really want to have fun and the kids always feel terrible when I'm down with them. They've been trying to make me feel better for the past 3 days. Everybody says "SHUT UP! She has a headache and if we want her to be fun again we better be quiet!" It's hilarious, but sweet.

I know how you feel. I find that BC powder and pain killers are most helpful and they usually keep it to a light headache for several hours, but if something happens, something stressful or being around strong scents, etc. it'll be back in no time. I've taken 2 BC powders already to help. It's the only thing I know. I do wish I could give a better solution

I occasionally have slight headaches around my frontal lobe, a few days before my period, an Advil usually takes care of it.

Chinese people were taught early in life to blow dry our hair as soon as possible after we've shampooed, never let it air dry, or else you'll suffer from bad headaches. Reason being your pores are open, and cold air seeps in and causes headaches. I totally believe that, so I always blow dry my hair immediately after my shower.
