I have an ovarian cyst that fills and drains all the time. Its totally painful and is affecting when I have sex. Does anyone else have this issue and have come up with a way to make it less painful? If so, can you give some advice...maybe some different positions.

Oh Honey!! I feel your pain! I just had my cyst rupture during my last cycle. I've suffered through them for years and it does affect your sex life when you are going through a rupture. Unfortunately I haven't found anything that will cure them or make them go away. I do get a prescription of Naproxen from my doctor when I'm having an issue. It helps with the pain and the inflammation that the rupture causes. Hope you feel better

I never knew about ovarian cysts until I had one rupture last fall. Holy geez wow... I have a stellar pain tolerance, and it knocked me off my feet! My gynecologist said that birth control could stop them from rupturing, but I said I'd take my chances for now and hope that I don't have another one burst.

Hot baths, heating pads and 500 mg ibuprofen helps quite a bit. When my pain was too bad for sex, we masturbated each other or masturbated together. Single orgasms were ok, but I did not try multiples after the first one, they hurt for hours afterward. Good luck and hope there are better meds out now than there were a few years ago!

My older cousin had ovarian cysts and had a surgical procedure to remove them. also, she had a waterfall during her period and was forced to have her endometrium thinned out so alleviate that issue. i honestly am not fluent in the matter, so maybe speaking to a gyno may help.

I've been told before that I have PCOS, but I don't know everything about it.

So, by talking about ovarian cysts rupturing.. what are you talking about, surprise "period" bleeding all of a sudden or is it something else? How exactly can you tell one has ruptured?

i've never had them, but i have 2 friends that have this problem. apparently, it's quite common. they were both put on birth control pills & they say it helped them tremendously.

When mine ruptured, it was EXTREME pain that subsided a few hours later. I had very light spotting for about 24 hours and then all was back to normal, thankfully.
