Nope. I make sure that my partner's safe and has been tested, since some people inherit from their parents. That caught a friend, so I'm kind of paranoid.

That is really scary--I obviously knew that people can inherit diseases that are also sexually transmitted from their parents, but I've always thought of it as something that doesn't happen very often--at least in the States.

I'm pretty careful, though. I once stupidly had unprotected sex with someone I didn't really know at all, and was incredibly worried afterward until I knew for sure I hadn't picked up anything (or, you know, gotten pregnant). It definitely taught me my lesson.

Sometimes too much, yes. But, you live and you learn and I'd rather be really safe and a buzzkill than dealing with doctors and all of that.
