i was having period troubles a while back due to stress, and i've got this awful knot in my neck that's restricting blood flow and even possibly crushing my pituitary gland. i took medication for a week or something to kickstart my period--don't quote me but i think it was progesterone?-- anyway, it was supposed to just be a big fat dose of hormones to forceperiod. it worked, shit got flowing again like a geyser, and since then i've been back to my usual 28 day cycle.

i've also been getting massage as regularly as possible and doing a number of stretching exercises so i can stop wearing my shoulders as earrings.

just questioning and thinking and focusing on "where oh where is my my period" prolongs the start of mine. Its basically anything your body sees as a threat. Not having your period is like your body saying HElP its not safe to be pregnant! My period was just 64 days late and I can honestly tell you it was from a combination of Stress, not eating enough, not getting enough sleep, change of shift at work, and just plane focusing on when will my period come.
