Pimples

Just curious I sometime notice that I get a pimple on my vagina and was wondering if anyone else gets these and what do you do if you get one? I do not have any STD's and my husband does not either so that is out. Just curious if this is normal. How do you prevent them? I think that they might me from oral sex any ideas?

I'm not sure if mine have been pimples or ingrown hairs, but they seem to react the same way, at least for me. I find that they'll happen most often after I've shaved (which is why I think they might be ingrown hairs) and for the most part, I just try to keep the area clean and wait for them to go away. If I can handle the pain I'll try to pop them and they'll normally scab over and go away like a pimple will.

Use feminine powder and feminine spray.

I got one once, beside my inner labia. This was before I was sexually active so I knew it wasn't an STD. I popped it and it hurt soooo bad, so I don't recommend that. I would never use any sort of acne medication on that area either. I would just leave it alone to heal by itself. If it didn't get better after a week or 2 I'd go get it checked out by a doctor.

OMG, they hurt like no other pimple can. I have an appointment next month for my yearly exam I think that I will ask her if that is normal or not. I have heard that some women do get them. I guess I will find out soon.

That pimple may be an inflamed or infected Bartholin's Gland Cyst. Web MD has information if you're unfamiliar with them. It's possible for it to clear up on it's own, but it's worth making an appointment to have your Gyn take a look if it's painful or keeps coming back.

The first time I got a yeast infection, I thought I had pimples or sores on my bits. The infection just presented itself in that form, along with irritation and redness. If you could go to a walk-in clinic or urgent care center, someone should be able to diagnose you, and an over-the-counter fix might be all it takes to make it go away.

I've had a pimple or ingrown hair a handful of times and yeah, they do hurt a lot. I think the occasional pimple is pretty normal, just like on anywhere else on your body. Usually they clear up for me within several days.
