I had a tubal ligation in 2005. My periods are fairly regular (within a few days)I am currently 17 days late and have no signs of beginning. Have experienced a few bouts of dizziness. Has anyone on here been or known someone who has gottewn pregnant after this proceedure? I am 41 years old so I am aware that it could be the onset of early menopause as well.

17 days late sounds late enough to get an accurate read on a pregnancy test. I've heard stories about it happening but I don't personally know anybody it's happened to. I would take a pregnancy test and take a trip to the doctor based on the results.

One of my friends got pregnant after a tubal, but she had a quack of a doctor who didn't nip near enough of the tubes out and clamped but didn't cauterize. There are loads of other things that can make a gal late though (as I'm sure you know). My cycles started going whacky like that around age 39, which was the onset of perimenopause for me.

Home test says no, but I still havent started. No pain, like if it was a tubal pregnancy so I will just hang in here andf wait. May go to the doctor if I don't start in the next few days just to get it checked out.

I had a tubal in 2004 and have a few "scares" since then, but of course they were just that scares. My regular doctor assured me that the OB doc knew what she was doing and that tubal procedures can have lasting effects on how our periods come from that point forward no matter how regular/irrgular you have/had been. With that being said, if this is your first experience with things being out of whack don't delay in seeing your doc just to be safe and get some reassurance or peace of mind. Keeping you in my thoughts

Thanks...still nothing lol. I will wait until I am due for the next cycle (next week) If I miss it then I will go to my primary for blood and ultrasound...sheesh

Starting to get a little worried here. Waiting for the drs office to call back with an appointment. Lol. Oh well it is what it is, guess if I was truly meant for one more then so be it

Good luck I wish you well. A friends mom got pregnant after her tubal ligation she was in total shock but her husband was happy because he finally got his boy lol
