Questions for the ladies, any thoughts would be great.

Every now and then, during PIV sex with the wife, we experiences a POPing type feeling that causes her pain. It only happens with a certain angle (not 100% sure what angle) and she says she can not pinpoint the location, only that it hurts sorta all over. It is not my head against her pubic bone as I am usually in farther than that and I do not think it is her cervix but I guess it could be by penis "flipping" it up or down???

This is something that just started happening in the last six months or so.

Any thoughts???

The only things I've ever experienced that caused actual pain during normal sex have either been the cervix or pubic bone so I'm not really sure. I'm interested in knowing what's causing it though!

The last time it happened we had to stop for the night. It's kind of weird that it does not happen every time. She is planning on seeing the Dr but I figured someone around here might have an idea on what it could be.

Hmm, popping? That's interesting. I've never experienced that that I can recall. I've experienced the air, which is uncomfortable and makes me giggle. Sometimes my gf hits my cervix (or when I slept with guys that happened) and it hurt, but that was a kind of easy to pinpoint spot.

I hope you figure out what's causing this.

Awh, sorry to hear this, Tim. Doesn't sound pleasant. Unfortunately, I can't contribute much as you've already basically eliminated what I would have suggested. I do wonder if there are particular times of the month this happens? Cervixes do move up & down during the month, sometimes quite a bit. There are things that are fine for me at times that hurt like heck a week later.

Only similar things I've run into personally were sort of one time, wrong moment, wrong angle, wrong pace things, but nothing that stopped sex or reoccurred.

Afraid that's all I can think of, but hope ya'll can get it fixed up soon.

I've never experienced something like that before, sorry! I've searched all over the internet, looks like your wife isn't the only one who has that problem, but nobody seems to have a proper explanation. Urge her to make an OBGYN appointment as soon as possible, and find out what's wrong, since you said it's been going on for quite a few months already. Hope everything turns out well!

I assume (scientific mind that you are) you've already tried to figure out if it's mostly happening in one or two positions and not others, and if it's mostly happening at one particular time of the month.

The only thing I can think would be if her cervix is closer during one time of the month or another. Personally, there are like 3 (consecutive) days a month where if my legs get lifted over my partner's shoulders, it'll hurt enough that I'll ask him to stop. And even though by this point I've decided it must just be my cervix at that point in my cycle, it doesn't just hurt at the cervix, it hurts all over. Luckily, every other position that doesn't have me folded into a V is just fine So, try flipping each other around? Good luck.

The only thing I can ... more
One of the biggest problems is figuring out when/how it happens. When it does I am quick to pull out and or stop, not much time to pay attention to how we are. About the only thing I know for sure is it is when I am on top.

I've only had this happen a few times before but it wasn't anything that made me have to stop. Hubby just had to readjust his positioning and make sure he was fully inserted before it didn't feel like there was a popping sensation anymore. Not really sure what exactly it was from, but I suppose it could be those times of month where the cervix is closer or something of that nature.

Good to know she is not the only one.

I just got a new job (YAY!!!!) with insurence so hopefully she can go in soon, just to make sure there is nothing wrong.

I don't know if this is the same thing, but sometimes my "hip" pops during missionary. It's not the joint in the socket, but the tendon that runs in that area. It's quite painful and takes my breath away for a moment. And reminds me that I've spread my legs too far.

He does! And then when I catch my breath, we laugh it off. But it hurts like an SOB.
