Sex with a tilted/tipped uterus

Contributor: Blinker Blinker
I have a tipped uterus (my uterus is tipped towards the back instead of being normally in a down position) and it makes sex painful. The pain kind of comes and goes and it makes me afraid to have sex at all. Does anyone else suffer from this condition? I've heard there are some positions that can ease the discomfort, but for the life of me can't find any real information on it.

I'm heading to my gyno's ASAP but seeing as how it's a Saturday, I thought I'd seek advice from the lovely ladies here

Cheers!

Actually, from what I've seen, heard, and experienced, womens' inny bits can be as tilted as a guy's piece is curved.

I hope that helps!

I do have the same condition actually which is why we thought it would be next to impossible for me to get pregnant...heh.

Try being up on your knees or on top where you can control the angle of penetration if it's really painful. For me I like the, well I don't want to say pain cause it's more of an extra sensation than pain for me. My cervix isn't as touchy as some other women's are but if the uterus contracts it does seem to be more painful that other women I have talked to, my Doc. says that's natural with the way mine is tipped.

Be sure you are very excited when you start so that the area is engorged and don't use vigorous thrusting to start off with, both of these seem to help me more than anything else. A warm bath or shower after sex can minimize the discomfort later as well.

Hope that helps!

Thanks! That helps a lot, actually. Being on top is really good every once in a while but sometimes it just hits a certain spot that just makes me jump off him and clamp my legs closed.

And I think the size of his penis poses a problem sometimes, lol. He's quite lengthy and he can't help but go deep...sex is really a hit and miss kind of activity for us, but it's always fun, especaially when it works out right

I also have a tipped uterus but I've never had any kind of trouble from it. When I got pregnant with my daughter (who was a surprise) they said how amazing it was that we hadn't been trying since I have a tipped uterus. But, I never had any trouble conceiving my next two children either and I haven't experienced painful sex. It's possible maybe that my tilt is not as extreme maybe? Or maybe the way it tilts just doesn't get in the way? I'm not really sure.

I'm beginning to think the tipped uterus isn't why sex hurts so much...I really think it's something else, but God knows what. I've read in several other places that ladies with tipped uteruses (uteri? lol) have fine sex lives.

I'm a gynocological mystery!

I'm glad to find that this condition makes pregnancy difficult--I believe I have it, and I definitely have NO desire to get pregnant! Hah.

I have to go to the GYN and ask about it specifically, but yes, sex is often painful for me, I have a hard time with G-spot stimulation / orgasms (I don't know if I've ever had one, but I don't think so cause I never squirted) and my mother has a tilted uterus too. I'll have to ask them about it next check-up.

it's so hard to orgasm. reverse cowgirl doesnt work. mostly on top if I bounce and then grind very quickly its exhausting and frustrating. I can't do doggy bc sometimes I get injured although it's one of my favorites. spooning is amazing. have him latch his feet onto the bend of your knee pull back on you and go. I'm 43 and still figuring things out
