Ok, me and my friend were talking about this today. She was like I swear I could have sex with a tampon and my boyfriends so small it wouldnt hurt at all.(she wasnt gonna try it but just saying)

We then got to the discussion of what would happen if you had sex with a tampon.

Ive always taken them out, and plan on it lol. Just wondering thoe

Bad idea VERY bad idea....toxic shock syndrome aside there are so many risks doing this even if your guy has a teeny weenie.

Well, there are more ways to have sex than vaginal.

Sure you can have sex while wearing a tampon. You can have anal, oral, or use only clitoral stimulation. But entering the vaginal canal is not a good idea. In fact, it's a very BAD one, no matter what the size of the partner's penis is. Just because the partner is "small" does not mean that you could quite possibly push the tampon very far back and forget about it, or have trouble removing it.

There are a lot of problems, like toxic shock syndrome, that can come from leaving a tampon in too long.

So to answer, you can have sex while wearing a tampon, but you cannot have vaginal sex. I mean...you can, but I do not recommend it. At all. Not safe, whatsoever.

TSS is a very serious thing. Like those above me have said, it's not a good idea to have vaginal sex while wearing a tamp. Personally, I don't think it's funny to even joke about... people die of TSS, you know.

TSS is very rare, although very serious. It could happen, but I'd be more worried about abrasions on your cervix and vagina from the damn thing rubbing. Also, as tampons are absorbent, they may dry out your membranes and make for an unpleasant experience. And even a small penis would either bump into the rough string end of the tampon or get rubbed raw from the side of it.

I've actually worked with a few women patients who have had sex with a tampon in (not the sharpest tools in the shed) and some of them had to come in the clinic to either have the thing removed (as it got pushed up behind the posterior fornix, behind the cervix and really got jammed) or to have the abrasions treated.

Look into "INSTEAD", a disposable cup. My local drugstore sells them (Walgreens, etc..) I have not found it yet at mass retailers like Walmart or Target. I really like it because if I want to have sex, I still can, but usually I don't. At least I can masturbate with it in and still have access to most of my vagina. The package does not advise against using it during sex and I've read about other women using it during intercourse too.

In no way did we want to or even suggesting it. She didnt litterally mean she tried it but was well her way of saying hes small.

I would never do it just cause, I prefer it to come out and ime sure theres some tpye of medical issue that could possibly happen, same with my friend.

Thats just stupidity, I mean I would think anyone with a vagina would at least know a tampon can be hard to get out/get stuck if you decide to shove it up there far enough. And considering sex would do that lol.

Wow, no no no! That would be the worst idea! Why would you do that and risk it getting stuck and getting toxic shock syndrome. Tell your friend it only takes a few seconds to take out the tampon and a few to put one in. Don't risk it!

You'd think. It's amazing what people do with their bodies without thinking it out first. Yeah, you "accidentally" were vacuuming naked, and "accidentally" your hard dick got caught in the nozzle, which should have either been on the floor or on the curtains. I mean, c'mon. And if one is going to do this and needs to go to the ER because one's dick is caught in the vacuum cleaner hose, PLEASE just remove the hose from the vacuum cleaner and bring that in connected to your dick and don't bring the whole unit in.....

i would think it a bad idea because he could make the tampon go deeper inside you to were you can't get it out.

Ok so I know this isn't really what the post is about, but I think it's so tacky when people have to make jokes about someone's penis size. I mean and this is her current boyfriend??? Imagine how he'd feel if he knew, geez I can't imagine how I'd feel if I was in that situation.


As for using a tampon during sex, no that's just not a good idea.

I don't use tampons anymore, but once back when I did I forgot it was in me and got busy without taking it out. Neither of us noticed.

I confess that this happened to me too once. You wouldn't think anyone would ever forget, but one time it happened. I used to sometimes let tampons stay in for more than a day since my periods were so light. This was before TSS was in the news. One night my boyfriend told me it felt like there was a wad of paper in there. When I removed my diaphragm, there it was.

I agree. It's really mean to make fun of a person's genitalia size. It seems like some do it (tiny dick, large vagina) only after they break up, and seemed happy enough with their partner's stuff when they were together.

Yep, it really bugs me. And it's not only mean to the person they're talking about but what if someone they are talking to has a smaller penis and they then feel bad because they imagine that every girl will feel that way, or if they're talking to someone whose partner has a smaller penis and making them feel like their partner is inadequate. It's also just reinforcing the stereotype that bigger means better and that a man's worth is related to the size of his penis. It's just BS.

And I think a lot of the women who do this would be mortified if they were to learn that their boyfriends or exes were going around saying that they didn't liike their genitalia for whatever reason or were making fun of breast size or something. It's immature, it's mean and yet some people find it hilarious.

I really don't think of it as a big deal. Like I said, we didn't even notice.

I also had a problem with using only 1-2 tampons in a 24-hour period, even though I knew good and well I could get toxic shock. Just a fool, I guess. Now I've got a menstrual cup and will never look back

Way back when I hooked up with a girl who left the tampon in. At first, I thought something was wrong with the condom because my dick was all sorts of chaffed. No dice. She left it in, and the tip of my dick hurt for the next couple days. Needless to say, I never spoke to her again.

Could it have been an accident? Seems kind of harsh to never speak to someone again because of something like that. Unless of course she did it on purpose..which sounds odd.

I had this happen to me once, and I actually found out the second one was in right before sex. I had taken the one out before hand and then when fooling around the guy felt the second one, and I thought I was losing my mind because I could remember taking it out but it was still there. Turns out it had been from the middle of the night before while I was too tired to know what the hell I was doing and had put in a new one without ever taking out the first.

Well, I had very...interesting night...where unplanned, flagrantly intoxicated sex happened with a tampon still in. I realized this the NEXT morning.

It was quite a night. I realized this when I had to "give birth" to said tampon. It was bad news bears. Never do this on purpose!
