How many of you have short periods and do you take birth control that would influence the length of your period?

My BC makes my periods have less volume and less stressful in general. It's nice knowing what day your period is always going to be. My periods were regular before, but with the pills it is even easier.

Also, I had anemia, so pills make this better too.

I don't currently take birth control and I tend to have shorter and light flow periods. I get upset when I have to wear anything but an ultra-thin pad because I just don't use enough of the other kind. I would say they average 3 days, sometimes going longer. But my periods have regulated yet since I gave birth two years ago and stopped taking depo over a year and a half or so ago. It's only been the last two times that they've come around the same week of the month.

I don't currently take birth control, but I did for almost 2 years until I stopped in February, my periods were fairly short on birth control and that has continued since I've been off of it.

I haven't taken birth control since 1996 when I got married and we started tying to have a baby. My periods have always been regular and I ovulate just like clockwork. After the doc gave me clomid my periods have shortened dramatically. They use to be 3-4 days, now it's 1-2. They are so light that I can use panty liners and still be perfectly fine. The clomid didn't help me get pregnant, but at least it did something lol

I don't take BC and really don't have any reason to. I masturbate constantly on my period and that seems to make them shorter.

My BC made them short, but VERY frequent, like 2-3 a month. It was not worth it, I'll go back to having horribly heavy ones on a reliable once a month schedule, thanks. xD Though sometimes, in spite of being very heavy, they can be as short as 4 days, no BC. USUALLY they are 6-7 days though.

No. Mine are long, at least a week, then I spot for days. Bleh. When I was on the BC pill, they were a little shorter, they usually started on the Tuesday or Thursday (depending on which Pill I was on) after the last pill on Sunday, and would end Monday or Tuesday after starting the new package.

Now, they just come whenever they damn well feel like it, make themselves at home and hang around for a long time and take their sweet time leaving.

I could not believe how short and light mine got on my new BC. I took a pregnancy test just to make sure it wasn't implantation bleeding. Without hormones, it's heavy and 6 days long.

I have an IUD, and I very rarely have periods anymore. When I do, though, they are very light.

My periods last about 3-4 days. I do take birth control and it definitely does affect it for me. Before birth control some of my periods would even last a couple of weeks.
