Strong smelling and very moist vagina?

Contributor: gloomybear gloomybear
ok so this is a little embarrassing but in the last year or so ive noticed that my privates have been very moist to the point that i have to change panties almost twice a day along with this my vagina have had a very strong smell i even sometimes can smell in if i'm sitting down in public like in class (so embarassing) i don't think its anything to serious and that its maybe related to stress. my question has anyone else experience this and how do you deal with it? any advice?

have you recently started birth control? I noticed that happened when I started using nuvaring, I don't really know what to suggest iI just kinda deal with it. If the discharge has a weird color and/or a foul odor it could be an infection and you should talk to your gyn otherwise I wouldn't be concerned, it's more apparent to you than it is anyone else

Exactly what I was going to say!

If it smells like fish or has a gray or yellowish color to it, it's time to head into the doc's office.

I think mine normally is extra moist and has a scent. Mine's not a foul odor and not abnormally colored, but it does still bother me. I just be sure to wash myself properly and thoroughly daily and I actually buy the cleaning wipes from the pad section and use them after every bathroom usage to keep me clean and refreshed. I don't need to change my underwear multiple times a day, but still.

And being your body and scent, you smell it more than others do. Just like when you're on your period. You smell it and worry, but more than likely unless someone is in your crotch area, they won't usually smell it. Unless it's just that bad of an odor.

This is the definition of my lady area since I hit puberty. As long as it's not itchy, uncomfortable, and you don't have gross colored discharge you should be fine. If you're super concerned you might want to get yourself checked for STD's if you had unprotected sex with a new partner around when it started, but it really doesn't sound like an STD.

I've always had that issue, but it's really not that embarrassing. Like the poster above said, you notice your own BO and other odors a lot more than anyone else does!

Usually I can control the discharge by just placing a bit of TP in my panties, but you also might want to invest in some of those re-useable pads. Just toss them into the washer and re-use them!

Could be a yeast infection.
