Perceptive forum discussions on Relistic vagina:
Vaginal Soreness
Hello everyone, my girlfriend lately has been very sore and red after sex. We use lube every time, but after she becomes very sore to where she can..
Slap a pussy - like it or not?
Let me start of by saying WOW!! So my husband and I are just starting trying the Dom in the bedroom. So last night I realized just how much I enjoyed.
Do you like vaginal fisting?
Do you like to be fisted? How often do you like to be fisted?
If your vagina could talk, what would it say?
This question comes from Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues. If your vagina could talk, what would it say? (Two words) Some examples are: start...
Should i get a Realistic Vagina to share with my bf since i'm very into girls but we both get too jealous for an actual 3some?
My bf and I want to have a 3some with a girl but both get too jealous. I'm very into girls. Should we get a Realistic Vagina as a compromise?

If you are sensitive to lubricant, you are probably sensitive to glycerin or parabens. I suggest using Sliquid Organics Natural. Here is the review I wrote on it if you want to check it out. It doesn't have glycerin or parabens and it's ingredients are natural so it's unlikely that you'll have a reaction to any of them, though you can see for yourself if you might as I have listed each of them with a definition as to what they are. The Sliquid line in general is pretty good about being free of bad stuff (look at the ingredients first, though) so you probably can't go wrong with them.

I don't have the problem. I'm thinking the BEST thing to do would be to see your doctor or gynecologist or one at a free clinic if you don't have one. They could give the best advice/tips.

Have you tried any of the organic lube? If not type 'organic' into the Eden search bar and check out some, maybe they could work? Or one for sensitive skin? One of those two options could work if you have an allergy or get irritated by the lube you currently have.
You also maybe could try a dilator set. This is the only one EF has but I've seen different ones on other sites, just google it.

I chose I don't have that problem because practically such a thing has never been a problem for me, but indeed, it has happened quite a few times that I found myself bleeding a little bit after being with someone or using toys so vigorously...
It has never disturbed me, so I never worried about such a thing... ^^ ~lays ears blushy

I don't have this problem but a friend was telling me today about how she tears like this. He is also so big she says her Mirena iud birth control scratches his head! so yeah she is about to go to the doc if he suggests anything about the tearing I will pass it along to you.

I was just going to suggest this lube! I believe that I am sensitive to lubricants as well, and I have tried all of the Sliquid Organics lubes without any problems, I have a review up for each of them. I definitely recommend checking those out.

Yes! I'm so glad to have came across this! It happens to me so often that just tonight after sex, I was showing my partner where it always tears. I told him it seems like something's wrong with me because I've never heard of other's having it happen ALL the time. It thankfully only got very badly irritated after sex tonight, but last week it tore and hurt for 3 days! It's the outer skin around the hole that tears on me. I went into great detail to "demonstrate" it to him tonight. I wish I knew what to do about it, but I do not. I thought I was just really abnormal. Lubricant doesn't help much for me. We've tried everything. Going slow, being super careful and occasionally we'll happen to be just careful enough like tonight, that it doesn't tear the skin. It's such a bother though because I don't want to have to spend 20 minutes getting past that just to enjoy it and then be in pain after. Mine seems to come with this really bad pain in my cooter afterward. It happened again tonight. I've posted about it in the forums and haven't learned of anyone else with it yet. The pain isn't from the tear itself. It's just a really bad throbbing pain in my labia majora after sex. It lasts for a few hours and is MUCH worse when I'm standing. Now, I'm laying down, sort of propped up so it doesn't bother me. I have no idea if this pain is related to the terrible problems with the tearing and irritation of that outer skin or what. Does this also happen to you?

I wish I had some advice, but there's nothing that has relieved it for me. It's really bothersome, but I just take it easy afterwards and usually stay away from anything sex for a few days so it heals. For the past 5 years this has happened and it always, always always heals. I've never had serious complications from it, even when it tears very badly. I've never actually had the tearing cause me to bleed for hours though. It always stops very soon. If the bleeding continues for so long then that could be something to do with thin blood? If you're taking certain meds or have certain health issues you'll bleed more than you normally would.
So far, the only thing we know that helps avoid tearing badly is being so super careful while having sex. However, having sloooow sex is not my thing so we end up going faster and that's not the problem, it's outside, not inside that tears. Even if it doesn't tear, there's ALWAYS so much discomfort (sometimes actual pain) afterward. No idea what will help, but I wish you luck! Feel free to let me know if you do find anything that helps with it.

i would avoid that position for sure, and use waterbased lube such as sliquid. it is natural and works really well. you can find many varieties of it on here. i recommend the gel version, as it's thicker.
definitely, DEFINITELY use lube if you're sensitive to tears. there are many kinds of lube, so if you search around you're bound to find something that works for you.

I have had pain during sex, and I think I've bled a TINY bit a few times. I would see a gynecologist about it if I were you.

I don't have this problem. Sounds awful.
03/22/2012
Doctor, definitely my friend. I hope you get this sorted out!
03/22/2012
nope..hasn't happened to me.
03/22/2012
I don't have a vagina. However, I can tell you that vaginal tearing happens for a lot of different reasons. Some medications (cortisones and others) can cause tissues to thin and become more prone to tearing. Once a woman reaches menopause, the vaginal wall begins to thin and atrophy on it's own. Finally, sometimes if sex is a little too rough even young women who aren't on any type of medication can suffer a vaginal tear. I would recommend plenty of lubrication and patience. If the problem persists, seek the advice of your primary healthcare professional.

I have not had this problem but it sounds painful! Definately ask your doctor about the issue.
03/22/2012
Yes, definitely ask your doctor and get checked for any possible infections. Tearing could increase the risk of getting those.
I had that problem in the past, but it just went away and I stopped tearing. We didn't do anything different. I guess I just healed myself and adapted. best of luck toy you!

i used to have this issue, now i require lotsd of foreplay to get good and wet or lube before hand or i still would get a tear.
I feel for you sister, they are not fun and hurt like crazy AND mess up your sex life for about a week. Look into organic water based lubes, they are the least invasive for me..

I had this same problem. Two things worked for me:
1. Lube. I second the recommendation for Sliquid Organics. It's hypoallergenic, so it shouldn't sting or give you infections. You might not feel like you're not wet enough, but if you're tearing? You're probably not wet enough.
2. More foreplay. Get a couple fingers in there to loosen yourself up before you penetrate with anything larger, and make sure you really are turned on (not just humoring your partner). Some women just need to warm up more than others.
If the above don't work, talk to your doc.

It's happened to me once, but it was in the same spot that I tore during childbirth, so I wasn't surprised. Are you properly "ready"? Are you making enough of your own lube?

i have heard that vaginal tearing is usually caused by going too fast and with too little foreplay, so you could just take your time and go slow and do plenty of clit stimulation if you like that. seeing a doctor if it's a serious problem is always a good idea too

Use plenty of lube and if you get tearing wait a bit and let yourself heal and talk to a doctor
04/04/2012
The only time Ive every experienced tearing is when the sex/play/toy use gets a little too vigorous. never nothing too serious like bleeding on the sheets, just noticing a hint of color on my partner's fingers, or on the toy.
Honestly, I think lubrication is the key- find something that works for you, and make sure you're not allergic to the lube you're using. Water based lubes fail for me, and I have noticed some minor tearing during the time we play around with a water base.

I've never really had that problem, I'm sorry!

I don't have this problem, but I've heard that it could be the side effect of the brand of the Pill you're using. You should talk to your doctor about it.
