What cosmetics do you wear? (Men, you too!)

I feel equally as attractive with or without make up however I do feel pressure to wear it.

I work at a store where most of the staff is encouraged to wear makeup, but it's certainly not a requirement. I also really enjoy wearing makeup anyway. I go through phases where I wear less seasonally, but I find that it helps me habitually take care of my facial skin with SPF, moisturizers and regular face washes. I think because I pay attention to my face each day by applying makeup, the overall hygiene of my skin is increased. I think I also like the drama that comes with wearing lots of eye makeup, I like to wear crazy colors like lime and teal and apricot, sometimes it's so bright and varied that I dont have to wear much else on my face. As someone who loves crazy colors, it's a fun and easy way to make my appearance more creative, and I've never felt pressured to wear it in order to fit in or be accepted, I love the the fact that I can wear a design on my face.

Intrinsically, as humans we like to paint our bodies. Whether it's with tribal paint, natural elements, tattoos, henna, or even precious stones. Significant to almost every culture on the planet, humans love to wear and adorn different materials and I believe makeup is the most accesible tribal paint available to women in developed countries. But without industry, I would otherwise be grinding a berry down, mixing it's pigment with animal fat and smearing it under my eyes. The cosmetic industry didn't come first, the desire to change, enhance or disguise one's appearance did.

I have permanent eyebrows and eyeliners. I don't usually put any other makeup on unless I'm attending some special occasions.

I hope I chose all the right choices...there were so many haha. I am a female, I wear foundation frequently but not always. I do feel pressured to wear make up because I sometimes view myself as looking dull. I rarely wear lip make up and eye make up.

I sometimes wear makeup because it's amusing to, but I do not feel pressured into it. I actually feel pressured to not wear it, since I am a man. But I try to ignore such things, since I do not care what people think of me.

I wear make-up so rarely anymore this it's weird to me when I do. I like to wear it and have no issue over it, but I'm a stay at home mom and usually don't bother or don't have the time to deal with something so menial. My husband is indifferent. He thinks I'm gorgeous with or without it. It's just not one of those important things to either of us.

I forgot, and when I do wear make-up, I wear mineral makeup. No heavy creams or foundation/base. All powder-y stuff over here. And for my eyes, I have to be extremely picky because I have severe eye allergies and they have gotten worse over the years with mascara and such.

I think the last time I wore makeup was to a wedding that I went to about two years ago. I decided a long time ago that wearing makeup everyday was just too much of a hassle and feel like I can get away without it unless it's a very special occasion. My husband actually says that I look better without makeup. Plus over the years I've saved plenty of time and money. I know that one day I'll eventually hit that point where I feel like I have to wear it to look attractive, but until then I'm content to not worry about it.

I don't wear foundation everyday but I'll wear eyeliner and mascara more often than anything else only because I personally like how it makes my blue eyes pop. I don't feel pressured to wear any kind of makeup. And I live in California.

These days it seems like makeup takes way too much effort to bother with. I do feel better when I wear it though. I don't care about societal pressure-I just feel better.

I once got fired from a job for not wearing makeup. They said that I was not maintaining the standard of appearance that they required. I was freshly showered and shampooed every day, with natural color combed hair, and wearing a professional blouse and a size 4 skirt with hose and heels, but since I wasn't wearing makeup, I didn't have the proper appearance.

I wear makeup most days not because of obligation or feeling the need to but rather I enjoy it its an art form to me and I like playing with colors and placement just as a painter would. I also don't have a problem walking out of the house with out any its honestly just fun for me.

I generally only wear makeup when I'm going for a job interview, want to look better for a man, or I feel like dressing up.

I wear lipstick, eyeshadow, concealer (Is that the name for the cover your entire face part?) and mascara. I don't wear blush because I've never figured out how to apply it and I'm likely to stab myself in the eye with an eye liner. Never seen the point of a lip liner.

I feel pressured to wear makeup though, how dare anyone see a pizza face. And I've had guys tell me "Well at least your face looks nice." (Then proceeding to insult the rest of me.)

Im a stay at home mom so I dont put on makeup unless im going somewhere cuz after exercising, cleaning house, and taking care of the babies all day I need a shower anyways, but If I go to the store I put makeup on. Only bronzer, eyeliner, mascara, and chapstick. Now if im going out somewhere or I just want to look sexy before my husband gets home, or On sundays when we go to church I put it all on. But I dont feel pressure to wear makeup. Especially not in the summer time when Im tan.

I wear all of the things that you listed frequently. For a very long time I only very occasionally wore makeup and have gotten much more into it in the last year. I wouldn't say I feel pressure to wear it so much as it makes me feel more confident in going out in the world.

I personally feel pressure to wear make-up. Not from anybody but myself. I feel so ulgy and plain without makeup, I hardly go anywhere with.

That being said my makeup consists of some foundation and then eyeliner.
I have some lipglosses, but I don't wear them on dates cause my guy doesn't like them.

The two things I put on no matter what: Concealer for my dark circles and you gotta draw on the eyebrows. Everything else just comes down to if I feel like it that day, but I do think I look better when I 'put my face on'!

I feel pressure from some people to wear makeup, but considering that I'm one of 2 or 3 girls in my IT classes, and most of them look more manly than the men in my class, I feel ok not putting it on most days.
