If she itches and complains about the itching or smell suggest she visit a clinic or her gynecologist for a quick whiff test. You don't necessarily have to use the meds they prescribe as they can cause all sorts of problems with yeast overgrowth...but you do need to know that this is what you are dealing with. BV sucks!

Tough place to be in...as a female, I would hope someone would tell me so that I could get it taken care of but would think I would have some clue that something wasn't right. Be gentle, maybe simple suggest she visit the doctor for a check-up and offer to go with her. I agree with the post above, if she brings it up,that is your opportunity so go for it. Hoping it all works out.
