Wow. You really are irregular. I skip one once in a while, and don't have a perfect 28 day schedule, but I get about 11 to 13 a year. We are all different.

I guess if you only get one period every two years it's not a lot of sex to miss.

Yep.

Granted this go round It was so long because I had my son. But even unaffected by pregnancy/bfing/etc I'm still quite irregular. (blessing and a curse..)

Orgasms relieve my cramps, shorten the duration of my period, and I don't need to make a mess to have them (I just use a vibrator with a tampon in)

I don't do period sex, it just isn't my thing. My man isn't interested, either, so it works for us. We just do other things during what we call "Head week," which is actually next week, wahoo! I do find that clitoral orgasms during my period alleviates pain, and if I have sex RIGHT before I get my period, it lasts for a much shorter time.

I tried period sex with my ex a couple of times, but it was too messy, even in the shower, and it seemed to lengthen the time I had my period.

Period sex does not relieve my cramps. If I have a g-spot orgasm I get really bad cramps. I'm really sensitive.

Period sex doesn't help the crfamps or the duration of my period at all. Tying my tubes did. My period is alot shorter now but EXTREMELY painful.

It totally helps my cramps, and Im one of the few women I know that it doesn't gross them out to have sex while on their period...I figure "hey whats a lil extra lubrication huh?" *shrugs* Its just never bugged me lol. I have an ex that it REALLY grossed out... that was amusing...

I'm not all that comfortable having sex while on my cycle. It only lasts a four days usually and I still do other things intercourse just isn't necessary for me. It has never effected the length of time or cramps though.

My fiance and I often have sex while on my or her period. I can understand not wanting to go down on one another if you don't have a taste for blood and just the general reasons of it being super messy and making you look like a zombie. But it does really help with the cramps. It also shortens my period which is great because they are already longer then the norm.

It can also help greatly with mood swings.

The best sex I ever had while on my period was in my bathtub. The warm water helped ease my sore muscles and made for little to no mess, who doesn't like hot wet sex anyway.

I've heard sex, or orgasms, supposedly relieve menstrual cramps and headaches. They actually make both much worse for me.

Roses, I don't think you are "one of the few" women who enjoy sex during their periods. Look at this entire thread. A good proportion of women and men here have no problem with sex during menstruation.

I think the more experience and confidence one has, sexually, the less issue they will have with this.

I know My Man and I don't even slow down. Maybe skip that one 12 hour area where I'm bleeding like a stuck pig, but usually it's business as usual. Once or twice a day.

I'm glad it's never bugged you. My Man talked me into it the first time, many many years ago, (I was a virgin before I met him and started dating him, he introduced me to a LOT of new things)because he didn't want to wait until it was over, and it doesn't bother him at all and we haven't looked back.

Plus, like I've said, I can't go a WEEK or more without sex, neither can My Man.

Without having sex during my period it will menstruate for 9 God awful days each month. The cramps are unbearable and good lord is it heavy. If I have sex daily I can nearly avoid the pre-period bitchy-ness altogether, my period only lasts 4-5 days and is fairly light with no cramping at all. It is totally worth the mess!

I have found that if he can get to me and I can have an orgasm or more right as the period is starting, the pain is reduced by about 70%. If, for some reason, I don't have an orgasm (and one or more from him is 100000 times better than one on my own) at the start of my period, I'm in excruciating pain.

So, for me, the sex actually relieves the pain, if we do it in time.

I find period sex to be messy and a bit embarrassing, but I have very short light periods nowadays anyway that its not that big a deal. I find that simply just an orgasm will do WONDERS for my cramps though! So I prefer either masturbation or sex in the shower does the trick and lacks clean up!

It helps duration and cramps in my case. It can be a bit messy though so we usually take it to the shower.
