Yeast infection . . . from silicone?!

I swear my Vixen Leo is cursed. I've used it maybe 4 or 5 times and twice I've had I've had a yeast infection develop a couple of days later. I've been using the Sliquid Sassy lube with all of my toys because I have a delicate ecosystem. I wash the Leo just as I wash every toy I have. None of the others have ever done this to me. I've only had a yeast infection once before messing with this crazy thing. It's silicone so it shouldn't be causing me any issues.

Has anyone else out there had this sort of thing happen? I'm quite confused about this and I don't like it at all.

How soon after the first one cleared up did the second one happen? Vaginal penetration can push things (like bacteria and yeast) back into the vagina from the outside. If there was a decent amount of time between and you cleaned the toy thoroughly, I have no other ideas about what the problem might be.

Could it be something else? I'm having an issue but I think it is from some lube. I've taken that little pill and I don't think it cleared up because I still have some itching so I'm thinking I may have an allergic reaction. My doctor gave me some cream for it since there is no discharge now and they can't find anything but redness.

I'm also thinking the same thing Raigne said. Or maybe like me it is something different? Or possibly did the other not completely go away the first time it happened before you used it again? I don't know why it would do that to you since you cleaned it properly.

I just know I sympathize with you. I'm sensitive down there and I get them easily from medications, certain bath products and certain lubes.

The first one was at least 4 months ago.

I just have no idea what the issue is here. It's so lame, too.

Normally when I do have issues it's BV, but it clears up in a week or so. Woe is me with my cranky vagina problems.

It would be a little strange if it was just coincidence, but the only way to know would be to try the toy again after another few months, which I'd be hesitant to suggest since it might cause another one. Are you positive it's a yeast infection?
