My partner and I are long-distance. So, whenever one of us goes to visit the other, we have to bring our half of the toybox, so to speak. Anyone have any tips on safe storage, et cetera?

Are you traveling by car, bus, plane or other? This makes a huge difference. I could probably help if I knew how you travel.

I agree with js250, mode of travel makes a difference. I would suggest looking at the just back in stock divine playchest. That could be a great solution for transporting a large number of toys. It might not be great for flying though.
