funny thing is... we just studied some fairy tales and popular re-tellings in one of my classes. I never realized how sexual fairy tales already ARE. hehehe

Didn't you know? It's just like kid's movies where there has to be some adult stuff so that the grown ups don't go crazy watching it. lol

I suppose I never thought about it before. I was such a young, innocent flower when I first read fairy tales. :p

I'll tell her you said so! I believe she's almost done writing it, so you may have to wait awhile...

I had to wait a few years after Shrek came out to figure out what was so damn funny about the white bronco thing, then it was hilarious, lol

Sigh...

That's fine, if the rest of the book is as captivating, it'll be well worth it!

Andrea Dale is the pseudonym for very prolific author Dayle Dermatis. She is also one-half of the writing duo Sophie Mouette and has 2 novels (I believe) under that name. (Not to worry-- she's public about her other personas, so I'm not giving away secrets here!) If you enjoyed "How the Little Mermaid Got Her Tail Back," I think you'll like her other work, as well!

You could probably find them online. I'm assuming they're in the public domain by now.

LOL... Brenda, are you listening?

I'd love to do another fairy tale collection, Andromeda! I will certainly let y'all know when I have a new call for submissions! I just turned in my second book-- Dream Lover: Paranormal Tales of Erotic Romance-- and it's filled with all sorts of delicious otherworldy creatures.

Aw, I'm sorry, Tori! I hope to have a long career editing anthologies for the wonderful Cleis Press, so you should certainly have an opportunity to submit something to me in the future! Plus, there are some other fabulous editors (like Mitzi!) who have calls for submissions out.

Oh I know...I'm currently brainstorming for Mitzi's Red Velvet and Absinthe Even if I don't submit, or don't get in if I do, you can be damn sure I'll have that in my hands on the release date!

Speaking of which... and I don't think anyone has picked up the thread yet: what story would YOU like to see retold?
