I think Aladdin would be an interesting one.

yeah. I love reading grim brother stories and then watching the kid version of them all. I wrote a book about all the their stories for a project and my teacher wouldn't let me read it to the class, because they were so grim. lol

I think that's the best thing about fairy tales! The stories can be retold and reimagined in an endless number of ways! Plus the classic tropes lend themselves to the creation of original fairy tales, as well.

I've been thinking about this since I saw your intro post a few days back and haven't come up with anything yet...I'd be curious as to what everyone else says though.

The 7 Dwarves could be pretty kinky... if they weren't dwarves .

Yes! The Cinderella story has many variations, as does Sleeping Beauty and Snow White!

I've got the anthology, but it's the children's version. I can't believe your teacher wouldn't let you read it. Can I ask what grade level it was? lol

Wouldn't the dwarv-iness make it just that much kinkier tho? lol

I would love to see something like that tho.

Me too! Because the version in "In Sleeping Beauty's Bed" was the only story in that book that really disappointed me. I'd like to see it retold so it was actually erotic.

There was a variation on Rapunzel in In Sleeping Beauty's Bed if I remember correctly.

There are some AWESOME stories in this new collection, if I do say so myself. Shapeshifters, succubi, fairies, angels, demons, ghosts... it's just delicious. I think I like it even better than Fairy Tale Lust because the stories are a little longer and they fit so well together.

I do agree on the disappointment. Maybe I just didn't get it, but I thought it was kind of...funny?

I love seeing stories like Goldie Locks or the Three Little Pigs. While not truly fairy tales they are totally devoid of the sexy element that was once inherent in them. Besides I always wondered what made the beds "too hard" or "too soft".

I love seeing the Disney abominations retold in their origional glory, they once were true morality tales and cautionary as well. I have read some versions of Snow White that told the tale from her "evil" stepmother's viewpoint. I did like the way Mitzi's Red Riding Hood was told almost from the huntsmen's viewpoint.

I'd love to see Hansel and Gretel with the missing sexual element readded...in one version the Father (who is actually their step father) takes them into the woods to hide the fact that Gretel is pregnant. He builds the gingerbread house for her and the tale goes from there.

Yeah, it was sort of funny, but I had been looking forward to reading that particular story (thinking it would be hot), so wound up feeling grumpy over it. Rapunzel rapping to a camo-clad hunter just didn't work for me at all.

Wow, the Hansel and Gretel idea sounds great...that one never even crossed my mind.

Well, the title drew me in. Then I knew I had to have it when I made it that far. I did make it far enough to get really sad that it wouldn't be out for almost another year, but I will own it!

The whole rap element kind of left me puzzled.

I'd like to see a retelling of Jack and the Beanstalk, or maybe the Little Mermaid.

I was thinking that as well, I wrote a version where rapunzel was actually a siren and a sort of succubus. She would sing and then fuck her visitors to death. Now THAT was hawt!
