I loved the book Tasting Her mostly because it's something that I simply adore receiving and I have a partner that is simply amazing at giving. He loved the stories as well since they are told from all different perspectives and it opened his eyes as to what it felt like to receive oral sex as a woman. It also helped him to be able to talk to one of his playmates who has problems relaxing. I never really liked it either in my past, But now my current partner and I give oral to each other all the time. It isn't really even "required" or expected or even requested. We just go with it. Yes, yes, and yes.

While I don't expect to be paid in kind, I do hope that my partner has the wish to show appreciation for my talent and enthusiasm (as limited as it may be) in one way or another. One LTR consisted almost exclusively of my giving and giving and the empty hope of some day receiving. I've brightened up since those days and know what to look for, as well as to expect from that relationship forward.

The moral of that story, for me, was to fine-tune what my partner [italic|reaaallly} loves (luckily it tends to be gettin' head), perfect it, and making it absolutely damn clear what I'd like in return--sometimes sex, sometimes a cuddle, even just a sweet thank you.
