I know I already posted, but that was a while ago and I've since go on to read more books I couldn't find a new "what are you reading" so I thought why not keep it going here?
At this moment, I'm reading... drum roll baby!.... HELTER SKELTER! Yep, finally got it! I paid 8 freakin' bucks for that book. I've been dying to read it forever though. I know, it's really weird, but I cannot help it. I was extremely interested in the case--even though it happened before my time. I am weird. It's blown my mind though! I cannot even begin to process most of the things in that book. I'm not finished with it yet because often I have to actually stop dead in the middle of reading to play these horrible incidents over in my mind because they're simple uncomprehendable to my mind. The things written in there are just... incredibly... F'd up! That's the only way I know how to put it!
I have read marlin Marynick's "Charles Manson Now" book and realized I should've read HELTER SKELTER before that one so I went ahead. I'm telling you, this book has nothing on "The Boston Strangler" book! I thought that one was unbelievable!
Now, enough about Manson. Mary Higgins Clark is my all time fav! I ran out of the stash I had of her books though and my wonderful Lovie bought me one and surprised me with it--a new one too--yesterday. I can't wait to read it. It's called The Shadow Of Your Smile. She never fails to satisfy me with her writing.
