A Spin off of another poll, what is your preferred method of cleaning your toys?

I keep a spray bottle of 10% bleach solution by my sink and, generally, give every toy a soap and water wash then spray the non porous ones down with bleach spray, let them sit a few minutes, rinse and let air dry.

I use Climax Burst toy cleaner, quick and easy and seems to work great. For the toys I share with the wife I will boil them after one of us uses it.

I know Tantus and quite a few other companies say their toys are dishwasher safe. I'm so curious about that. But I think it would give my family a heart attack. And I sure hope no one answers "prayer"!

I use a wipe right before using anything silicone, for reasons of lint. Then afterwards, I reuse the same wipe, mostly as a place to set the toy while I spray it with toy cleaner. Then I wrap it in the wipe and very very carefully smuggle it into the bathroom to scrub it with hot water and soap. And when I get the chance, everything boilable gets boiled, regardless of whether it actually needs it, because it could be weeks before I get another shot at a boiling opportunity.

I like using both the sprays and wipes best. It's fast, effective, and easy.

Anti-bac and water seems to work well for us. We usually clean our toys promptly, so we have not run into any issues.

I always use soap and water first, and then anti bacterial cleanser, so I can make sure that it's safe.

No soap-and-water in the sink option. That's what I use, although it usually is more likely to be dishwashing detergent and water in the sink. I sanitize when it seems appropriate (occasionally or if it seems to need it based on behaviors), but for the most part a quick wash and things are ready to go.

We use warm soap and water - with the occasional alcohol wipe down.
11/09/2010
Most of my toys are soap and warm water only cleaning.
11/10/2010
soap and water...
11/10/2010
Lmao @ prayer. I always use anti-bacterial soap or toy cleaner and warm water.

I'm still a huge fan of Before & After toy cleaner, mostly because it doesn't require rinsing and a sink. I mean, I DO actually wash things regularly, but the Before & After doesn't make it a hassle before...and, well, after. I also really like Afterglow wipes, the price is just a little too steep to use them on a regular basis.

I use soap and water and sometimes a toy cleaner sprayed on after. I don't use anti-bacterial soap though, just a mild soap. Anti-bacterial soaps can lead to irritation so I avoid them for cleaning sex toys.

I use a toy cleaner and warm water, but occasionally will just use mild soap

Soap and water for toys used vaginally. Toy cleaner spray for toys that are not very splash proof (like the Siri). Boiling for silicone, glass, and unpainted metal (non-vibrating, of course) each time when used anally. 10% bleach solution for wood toys or "painted" metals that cannot be boiled (like the Tantus Alumina line) when used anally.

Antibacterial soap and water is the only method I've used so far.

Most the time soap and water, but I have boiled a few.
11/17/2010
I boil them or use a simple clean of soap and water.

The spray bottle sounds like a very good idea. I currently just use warm water and anti-bac soap for my toys after use.

I think the Alumina is anodized aluminum, and boiling would be safer than bleach.

As far as I know alcohol is just as effective as bleach and safe for all materials.
11/26/2010
I usually just use warm soap and water. If I feel the need to sanitize I go with boiling.

LOL. Prayer is my favorite response. Thankfully no one has voted with that response. xD

PRAYER. Duh.

If I don't want to get out of bed, I spray with Before and After cleaner until the am. I clean most toys with anti-bac soap and warm water. I eventually boil toys that have been used anally and while at it, anything else that can be boiled.
I have never used bleach as I think it may change the color of the toy.
I have two kids sand pails that I put toys in that need cleaning...one for anal and the other for everything else.

I usually give them a wipe. I'm always too nervous to run them through the dishwasher regardless of care instructions.
