I have never done much solo play. Had BF or HUBBY right there, since I have been "sexually aware". However, when I do a little self pleasuring, I am always either sitting up in one of our LARGE, and PLUSH leather recliners (Leg over one arm) or sitting up with a "reading pillow" behind me.

I switch it up a lot. It depends on what I'm doing and what I'm trying to do. If I'm in the shower, I'm normally standing. If I'm in bed, I'll either be lying on my back, in a crouched position, or on my hands and knees. A position you didn't mention is sitting, as in 'while on the computer'.
