What the hell do you do with a Pure Wand?

Contributor: sarahbear sarahbear
I finally ordered mine last week and have had it for a couple of days now. I tried playing with it in the shower a bit and my husband tried using it on me. It goes right to the spot, but I'm pretty unsure of what to do with it there. It's possibly because I'm scared to hurt myself with this giant steel rod that I shoved into my vagina. We also tried the small end anally with my husband and found we had the same problem. It hit the spot with no effort, but we don't want to injure him back there.

What sort of techniques do you use with a Pure Wand? The weight and the curve make it a little difficult and awkward to use. I imagined there would be a learning curve since this toy is the first we've ever tried like it, but I'm just confused. I want to fall in love with this thing the way that so many others have. Are there any videos that might show how to move your wrist/hand/arm with diagrams or real people? Maybe some how-to guides?

Sarahbear - when I got this for my wife I assumed that she would have the same problem. Luckily I was able to find many women who have described how they use the PureWand. I made copies of the reviews and edited them into a kind of 'how to'.

Before I ever touched it - I made sure she practiced the techniques - then had her teach me. If you'd like a copy of the MSWord doc I created form my wife I'd be happy to email it to you - just send me a note at augustus63bc@gmail.com . There are 25 reviews on this site alone and many of the users give details. This forum is so great because you can ask the reviewers specific questions - and get a ton of useful advice.

A couple of comments from using the PureWand from a mans perspective. The small end was simply too small to be useful for my wife - but it makes a great prostate toy - so share it with your husband.

In the summer when things are really hot - my wife like the feeling of the cool steel - but we never use a refrigerator or ice. It isn't long before the heat within has the steel up to body temp.

When using the large ball to stimulate my wife's g-spot I start slowly with shallow strokes - keeping the ball pressed against the g-spot - but you have to make sure not to draw out too far and bludgeon her pubic bone. As things heat up - she'll press back into the strokes telling me it's ok to venture more deeply - look up A-spot on the internet to see what that's all about.

Caution - when we first started doing this my wife said it made her feel like urinating - but once she learned to relax - that feeling passed and things are fine. A bout 8 out of 10 times she'll orgasm without clitoral stimulation and when that happens she almost always 'gushes' - that's what she calls squirting or female ejaculation.

Figure out what makes you feel best - then teach your husband - if he's ok with a little coaching.

Enjoy!

Rock rather than thrust. That's my technique anyhow. I rock my hips and rock the wand so that it rubs by g-spot but never pull the thing in and out and in and out in a typical thrusting motion.

Simple - either sit of lay down, insert end of choice so that the other end curves up over your stomach/pubic area, thrust to your heart's content.

I love my Pure Wand now, but I didn't at first! Try the techniques mentioned above. I usually go with Carrie Ann's method.

Also, if you are using it on yourself (vaginally), and if you are really really aroused, I wouldn't worry too much about injury. You will know instantly if you really pressed too hard, and then you can adjust your movements accordingly.

I enjoy the Pure Wand but there is a learning curve (no pun intended). Obviously anything solid, steel, glass, metal there is no give and because of the design and curve of the Pure Wand every movement can be exaggerated. As mentioned by others, a rocking motion both by the Pure Wand and your hips works best. I don't see the Pure Wand as a thrusting toy either vaginally or anally. Take your time to "feel" your bod with the Pure Wand. Once I got into it, it is fabulous and was the toy that enabled me to squirt for the first time.
Now I continually change from end to end with a sense of rhythm during the same session
Also I might suggest almost any dil with a g spot curve. I also have the Gigi which works on both the clit and g spot with some delicious vibes.

When I use it, I have just enough inserted to hit my g-spot, then I hold the rest in an underhand grip and... it's hard to describe the movement other than to say it looks like I'm jerking off the Pure Wand, hahah. I never move it more than an inch or two in short, fast strokes. Gunsmoke's right - you don't want to bash that thing against the pubic bone. Holy shit does that hurt... >.<

Try a lot of different things a bunch of times before you give up on it. It really does have a learning curve... but it's worth it!
