I've never been in a situation where I haven't been able to get a job, so I voted no. I'm just not interested in working in an adult store.

If it paid as much as I am making now (I have no idea how much typical earnings are working in a retail job, especially one like that) I would love to.

If it was a clean, well-lit store, then yes. But I wouldn't if the place was dark and seedy.

i would love to. i would just keep it off my resume if i went to apply for another job later that didn't have anything to do w/ the sex industry.

We have one really classy boutique that I would love to work for. The woman usually only hired nursing or therapy students, neither of which I am. However, I took a lot of human sexuality classes for my sociology degree, and all that stuff. I went in to talk to her about getting a job once and she didn't seem impressed with me though. I was sad. Although I do have to give her credit for her main concern being how my potential future employer would view my being employed there. (I wanted to go into law enforcement at the time.)

I actually had an interview at one before, I was not given the job, but about a month later, after I'd already found another job, they called me asking if I was still interested. I was sad to have to turn them down

I would love to work at one, but we only have one here and its kind of skeevy.
The laws are too strict to open another one. Someone tried and they got thrown in jail for refusing to close the store or something.

I would be really excited to work at one. Unfortunately, the only adult store that isn't kinda icky is too far to be feasible, but man do I wish they were closer!

As an older guy, I can tell you it is NICE to see the transformation from dingy back room, dirty hang outs that used to pass as sex toy shops, to the open airy boutiques now selling adult toys. Glad it went that way, for sure. My wife LOVES shopping there...although...OPP PPSSS....EF has replaced them, for the most part, for us!!!! With EF here now, who needs these local shops? (I feel bad for them, anyway).

if they offered me a job, I'd say yes, no questions asked. The stores around here are really nice and usually have friendly cashiers. Plus, it sure beats flipping fries and burgers! I'm looking a way to supplement my income from my current job, which is only an internship with a tiny paycheck tacked on. =| Cashiering at a shop I'd actually shop at - I think I'd do that.
