Seems like a lot of people have shops that are in sleazy parts of town, that's sad. When I lived up in DFW, there were plenty that were in decent parts of town and were always well-light, open, welcoming, and did not employ any gross people.
But now that I've moved down Houston way, it seems the closest one to us is 30 minutes away and we're not up for driving that far in a car with no a/c.

We recently went to a local adult store. The girl behind the counter enthusiastically showed my some new Cal Exotics products. She pulled them out of the package and explained about the materials and everything. It was so nice to see someone informed at one of these stores. She really knew her inventory, I hope she was well compensated.
I would do that, no problem! I promote products here and on my website, why not do it in person and get paid? I make a pretty decent hourly wage but I would do it!

Best job EVER!
Sure, sometimes I have to deal with creeps, but the rest of the time I'm sitting here on Eden or talking to customers about toys. It's a really relaxed atmosphere. I love the management (even though I'm usually the only one working). I get to use all of my knowledge to help others. It's a super fun time.

This was actually something I was going to look into if I hadn't gotten a job here. After spending so much time around the community here, I figured that I could probably do the same thing (almost) and get paid at a physical shop. I went into one with my sister almost a year ago and the lady behind the counter told me that if I lived in the area, she'd have hired me on the spot.

I actually looked into trying to get a job at one (a sex-posi place, of course) but I started reconsidering when I realized it wasn't something I would want to put on my resume in the future. Seems like it would just hurt me later on to have employment history that, while not sketchy to me, would seem weird and sketchy if future employers found out about it.

I do work at one, and I love it. And regarding some of your posts about as long as it's this and as long as it's that, the one I'm at is well-lit, clean, professional, we don't allow customers to sexually harass anyone, etc. I couldn't work at one that was shady and gross (like our competitors half a mile away from us )

Yes because I'm unemployed and I've lived in the areas of town they're generally in before anyway so I'm used to a little sleaze. If there was a really nice one in a nice area I would want to because it could be fun.
