Confession time

I'm really horribly lazy, and sometimes after a particularly vigorous session with my toys, I forgo washing them off.
Bad, yes, icky, yes, I know. I'm trying to break said habit.
But, in theory, what is the worst that could happen from using a toy vaginally, then storing it in a clean container unwashed?

It depends on the material. Vaginal secretions can be highly acidic and wear down certain materials over time. Not to mention the fact that you've now covered the toy with live bacteria and fungus cells (yeast) as well as a sugar and protein source (your secretions).

Even though washing them off is easy, it's a pain for me to haul them upstairs to do it.

So I think I'll get some baby wipes or something. Or as my partner insists I call them, MANLY wipes.

I have used a few toys multiple times but I always worry a ton about yeast infections and get paranoid. I figure it is easier taking my toys in the shower with me to wash them, than to be nervous about infections all the time. Find a way to wash your toys that works for you : ) I know I hate making trips to the dishwasher lol

I need to start calling them manly wipes! My family calls them 'didey wipes', didey as in diaper. But manly wipes is so much cooler.

Thank you.

I do, on occasion, leave (glass) toys on my bed after using (and licking) them, but I always clean them thoroughly before using them again.

It's pretty rare that I don't take my toys to the sink for a good bath when I'm done. I only do this for my silicone and glass toys, though, so that no bacteria will crawl inside them and fester in the meantime. I keep some toy wipes handy for those occasions, just so that I don't get my vaginal juices on my nightstand/shelf whenever I set them down.

I do the same and have wondered the same question. The toys I use are non-porous so I assume they are fine, but could this be bad for my toys?

I used to do the same thing, my issue was the nearest sink was upstairs from me and near my roommates bedroom. The possibility of creaky stairs and a noisy sink waking them up in the middle of the night only added to my reasons to cuddle up and sleep afterwards.
I invested in some good toy cleaner and wipes, though I do often wash them with soap and water still before storing them.

I think they almost always get washed right after use. There might have been a time or two where they had to wait until the morning to get washed.

Bacteria can grow on the toy and cause a yeast infection, I'm pretty sure that's the "worst" case scenario.

Edenfantasys wipes would help. You can use them on yourself too. They are offered as a free gift right now and I love them.

I'd forgotten about the free edenwipes! That's a good idea. I have the same problem but I generally use glass so it's easier to wash and disinfect later and not worry so much.
