I've actually been trying to just the opposite way. I try to round out my collection color-wise when I can because for a long time I think I went with everything in pink or purple because it seemed...safer? in some sense maybe? or more feminine? So now if a toy is available in a variety of colors I'll pick a color that I don't have much in yet. Yesterday I got the Posh vibe in yellow and it's almost a neon yellow! I think I need an orange toy next

I think it has more to do with the limited selection of colors with most toys. I have lots of purple and pink but I would love to have more variety. I pick the color I think looks best on each toy or whatever they have in stock when I order/request it. =)

I try to vary my colors, too. I have a bit of favorite colors, and also, with sites you can order custom toys and get custom colors it's a big plus, keeps the variety going. So I have blacks, purples, whites, browns, blues, etc. Though I seem to be leaning towards more blues lately, I need to get some green ones already! It's my fave color and I have 0 green, what's up with that?!

And like Sarahbear, sometimes certain colors work for certain toys, even if it's not the color I want, but if it looks nice, I get that one.

I agree with Sarahbear. So many toys are only available in shades of pink and purple so we tend to end up with mostly pink and purple.

I have a whole drawer full of purple dildos that I regularly wish could magically turn orange and green and sunshine yellow.

I usually prefer black if it's an option but I try to vary other colors.

I like pink a lot, so I normally get anything I can in pink if it's available. And just like sarahbear and others have said, I also pick things based on what colors are available and/or look the best on the item in question.

Yes, I have noticed this! But I'm aware of my desire to have control over color schemes in all my possessions. My wish list is mostly consists of purple and clear objects. But my "favorite" products are blue-ish (probably because my partner really likes blue). I do like quite a lot of pink things, but too many of the pinks are too fuchsia, not a gentle enough a pink for my eyes, so I may not order them.

I agree that we need more colors lol I have a lot of purple and pink, and as much as I love those colors, I do want a little more variety! I'm seeing more blues and whites though, thankfully!

I'm a little heavy on pink, but also purple. I like both. I'm up for anything as long as it is colored, and not flesh-toned. I want a technicolor sex toy collection.

I just choose my favorite color out of the options. Unfortunately often there aren't many. I have a green vibe (Lelo) that I was a little uncertain about when I ordered it, but I LOVE the color! Seems like color shouldn't really matter, but it seems like so much more fun!

My first rule is to avoid pastels at all costs.

I try for a variety of colors that appeal to me. I love bright, unnatural colors instead of the girly colors you see on most toys. Silicone dildos with glitter or shimmer in them are my absolute favorite.

I was really bummed out that they added the aqua Gigi later on, because that would have definitely been my first choice if I'd had the option when I bought it. I'm also drooling over the lime-green Liv. The lime-green and magenta Layaspot is pretty cute too.

I absolutely detest realistic looking toys, so no skin colors for me. I want my dildos to look like dildos, not like severed body parts. I'm getting really sick of pink and purple being the only options. A dark, royal purple is OK, but a magenta/purple is my least favorite.

I wish there were more bright yellow or orange toys. I want a rainbow, like a giant box of crayons made out of dildos and vibes. Unfortunately, it seems like most toys stick to the same things over and over.

I'm kind of in love with the closeout section on the Tantus website because they frequently offer discontinued colors for super cheap prices. I got a Silk Large in a shimmery green and an Acute in a light, shimmery pink that is the prettiest thing I've ever seen. It's like a fairy penis.

I hope someone who makes toys gets the hint here, because it sounds like a lot of us like the same things that we're just not getting.

Mine are actually pretty colorful, I don't have a pink toy, but I do have black, silver, green, yellow, orange, blue, but I think mostly purple. I do like the color variety, makes it easy when I am trying to get my BF to pick one, I can just shout a color!

My collection used to be almost totally pink, but I've tried to diversify over the past couple of years and now I have a fairly rainbow assortment. Still heavy on the pinks and blacks, though, as those are my favorite.

I love purple, I almost have all-purple unless I can't get it. then I pick blue or red or black. (in that order) I wish there was more blue, grey, white and green though.
