I love picking out assignments with my partner, but we usually need two different computers to do it. He'll inevitably lean towards the big, macho vibrating monsters while I'll be ogling the lingerie. We frequently poke each other and share our search results. It's fun, but the sessions, when done in person (long distance means that we do a lot of our shopping together, apart), last only about 30 minutes to an hour before we get so worked up by all the cool things we see that we go and "test" all of our old toys again.

The funny thing for us is he doesn't have any. There are some we share, like the floggers, but otherwise he uses them on me. He has some preferences which I take into account when I order, but otherwise I usually pick. Tonight was interesting though - we were exploring floggers and paddles

While I usually pick my toys out myself, we'll sometimes have a lot of fun picking them out together. Like Miss Cinnamon, we often have to go play with what we have after a while, especially if we're looking at a kind of toy we haven't explored yet in person. I often help him pick out his toys, because I know more about material safety than he does, and am more familiar with EF, so I can help him find a toy that does what he's looking for. For the toys we use together, we pick them out together. Sometimes as a surprise I'll go back and buy something we looked at, but decided we too expensive to buy right then. (most recently, this was the Fluffy Flogger)

I like shopping for toys more than he does, so I do most of the shopping, but he helps pick or at least signs off on new purchases (since we share finances, I try to let him know about big purchases in general.) Free toys (like toys I get to review) I generally pick on my own.

I picked "other," sort of as an "all of the above" choice. When I was with a partner, we would pick toys on our own for ourselves or buy things for each other, and we'd also get together and decide on things be both liked.

I picked other since there was no "all of the above" option. We do love to go to "Lovers Lane" together to find something fun for the evening. But I'm finding them to be rather limited and expensive after joining here.

It honestly depends, there are times when I pick out toys alone, and times when I'm spamming his e-mail with links or asking him what he thinks while I'm browsing. Sometimes he'll make a suggestion and say, "Would you mind getting this?"

I'm usually the one getting things, or I'll ask for approval from my partner on certain things (usually lingerie, to make sure that she likes it). Aside from that though, I'm the one choosing the toys. I don't have toys that are used on me (I personally don't enjoy that), but I choose the toys that I use on her or that I tell her to use on herself.

Usually we pick out toys that we'd like to try together, but there are times when one of us will surprise the other with something out of the blue. The funny thing is, Alan will shop online for these things all day, but if I take him into a local toy shop, he'll stand there and act like he's never used a toy in his life. LOL! I wind up doing all the choosing then.

With any toy I'm getting, whether it's on EF for review or just a purchase I'm making, I have a pretty consistent protocol. I bookmark the toy(s) I'm thinking about getting, go back and check them out a few times with fresh eyes to see if it's still something I want to invest in. When I'm sure I would be willing to review/purchase it, I show it to my boyfriend.

I am a control freak in many respects, and toys is one of them. They're my toys, and I figure out how to use them on myself and others. I have a seriously hard time accepting that someone else is driving the toy correctly. I'm also very independent.
Additionally, my husband is just sort of "Meh" when it comes to what toys I get because he knows I choose well. I always run what I'm getting by him, all that said, and occasionally he has a good reason for me to rethink my choice.

I usually pick them out but, of course, my collection is generally for me with fewer couples toys. My husband doesn't really know where to start. I think he's a bit intimated so I suggest the things we could use together to see how he feels. Even then, it's still my realm. He never gets as excited as I do.

We do both actually, sometimes I'll pick out what I'd like to try and then run it by both guys (I love the raised eyebrows and gleam in the eyes LOL) and sometimes they will suggest a toy they'd like to try. I'm usualy the one browsing the site and I'll suggest toys based on what they have told me they are interested in.
