Experience with companies customer service etc.

Just wondering if anyone on EF cared to share experiences about customer service when reaching out to specific companies about issues or defective toys.
I got to thinking about this because I tried reaching out to a lube company regarding where I could find sample sizes of their product. I emailed the company twice. I wrote the e-mails very professionally and addressed them "Dear Sirs or Madams." Both of my e-mails were ignored.
The next time I went to their website, I was going to try to get their phone number so I could call them and ask. I saw that the samples that I was looking for were now mysteriously available for purchase on their poorly designed and sllllooow website. Annoying.
I've heard through the web that FunFactory and JimmyJane are great to deal with and from what I've heard Jopen is a hit-or-miss.

I have reached out to a few companies in the past. The majority of them responded within a 48 hours. Since your experience was in regards to lube samples I'll share my experiences with the likes.

A while back I got the idea to do a blog post about the various different types of lube on the market. When I contacted the companies I made it known that I was a blogger and was interested in including their lubes in a review of lubes. I politely asked if it was possible for them to send me samples of the different types they had the market. I included all contact information for myself including a link to my blog. All but one company responded and sent me samples. I even had a company send me three 8oz bottles of their lubes.

To sum up my experiences I would say that I find it best to be upfront as to why you contacting them, keep it short but as detailed and polite as possible. It also helps to include your own contact information in the e-mail.

I've only reached out to one company. It was Tantus as my cat had decided to snack on my flame dildo with the flame dildo kit. I had just bought it from EF about a month before and was kind of upset that it was already marred.

I was contacted rather quickly and the woman said she would look into what they could do for me as it was a shame that my cat had decided to chew on it. Several weeks went by and I heard nothing back from them, so I emailed her back, and it's been, gosh, maybe two years and never got anything from it. It really wasn't a big deal as the toy is still functional where it needs to be. It's just that the base is now a little torn from kitty teeth.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I am really disappointed that I never heard back from them. I did keep my e-mails short, to the point and professional and also included my information. I also made it clear that I was not just looking for freebies, although I would welcome free samples. I said I would purchase their sample sized products if they could point me in the right direction to them, as I was only able to find one place online that had them and it was a variety pack that had flavors I was not interested in.
I just find it ironic that they ignored me and then suddenly had what I was looking for on their website.

Aww I'm sorry to hear that, lol. I hope you keep your dildos out of kitty's sight these days. I've heard nice things about Tantus' customer service in general.

The thing is, is at the time, I had been keeping it in one of those plastic shoe boxes with a latched lid! It was under my bed and I suppose the little butthead took the lid off of it haha

I posted on the EF forums about a a Tantus toy that had perhaps not been trimmed as well as it could have been, and the base had rough spots from the molding process. I was contacted by the Tantus rep and promptly sent a new one. Very positive experience.

Not strictly toy-related, but I once contacted Coquette as I broke a garter on its first use. It was discontinued on Eden (I'd bought the last cincher that the garter had been attached to), so I reached out to them to see if they happened to have any extras lying around, and offered to pay shipping. Turns out that the cincher was discontinued by Coquette as well, but the customer service rep I spoke with went to the trouble of digging one up for me and sent me a whole new cincher within a week, no shipping fees or anything. I was very impressed.
