Contributor: Em & Lo Em & Lo
Hey, it's Earth Day today! So we were wondering what your favorite "green" toy is. Does it HAVE to be rechargeable to qualify? What material do you think is most eco-friendly? What manufacturer makes the most sustainable products? We have our faves, but are wondering if there are any in particular we're not aware of. Looking forward to your suggestions!

Well I just received my rechargeable Gigi by Lelo in the mail today. It says in the 10 year quality guarantee that if you need a replacement they will "dispose of it in an environmentally-friend ly way." I'm not quite sure what that means, but I still think that having a really high quality toy that is going to last longer than a replaceable bullet is pretty green.

I don't think it has to be rechargeable (e.g. dildos can be manufactured green). I think wood is probably the most eco-friendly, and my favorite manufacturer of these would have to be Nob Essence.

My alumina revolve dildo is probably about as green as you can get. No batteries required, lasts for however long I want it to (forever please!)- but made of easily recyclable aluminium. Though I don't know how intensive the process is to make something of aeronautical quality aluminium. Though considering the way I put it to use I'm certainly getting my mileage from it. I wonder if it would be too weird to boil it and hand it down through the generations as an heirloom.

I love my LELO Gigi and my LELO Mona, both of which are rechargeable.

I also love my aluminum Jimmyjane Little Chroma, which has a replaceable motor, so even if the motor wears out, it can last indefinitely. It does take one battery, but I use a rechargeable.

I don't have one, but I'd love to get my hands on one of those rechargeable vibrators that has a charger that so many can hook up to.
