Would you find it more helpful to see a practical, real demonstration of a product before you make up your mind to buy??

Most of the "S" shaped toys, say the Delight are for hitting the G Spot and the clitoris at the same time. They don't fit all women and they are impossible to use when the woman is receiving oral sex (we use vibrators or dildos during oral sex, so I ruled this toy out) but a lot of people really like the sensation and convenience of hitting both spots at once and also not having to use two toys.

A video showing the toy is enough. A graphic (adult) demonstration is not needed. For furniture or complex toys, a simple demonstration with clothing (no nudity) would be fine too.

That's true.

There have been a couple times where I have found myself wishing there was a demonstration for the products I was interested in, but most times the reviews are enough. For example, on the site where they sell the Liberator wedges and they demo how to use them, I found it pretty helpful (even with the borderline porn ones). Depends on the product.

Unless it's something terribly convoluted, I don't see the need for a demonstration. Part of the fun is figuring out the rather simple sex toys for yourself. (at least for myself)
I agree with ya here.

I can see why some people might like to see something like that but for me no it is not needed and reviews work fine for me.

Yeah, that's what descriptive writing is for.

If things crossed the line into 'educational porn,' I'd think reviewers should be compensated much more highly for it :p

(Note: I don't think this is necessary. And really, sometimes I see how big a toy is in someone's hand...but that person is a much different size from me.)

I think maybe with things like e-stim and violet wands, yes - floggers too, perhaps, but dildos are pretty much a 'figure it out yourself please' thing for me.

For some toys I would love one, But most are easily understood

I agree. For the simple toys no, but I've seen some toys with unusual shapes and the video demo, which was not too explicit, was helpful.
I agree with this thought as well. There have been a few things that I've wondered about, but most toys are fairly self-explanatory.

I cite this review ALL THE TIME, to the point that I feel like a broken record. But Carrie Ann's review of the Form 3 here includes a video that awesomely demonstrates her recommended use of the Form 3 on a Fleshlight. I thought this was an ingenius way to demonstrate a toy very effectively without being pornographic.

Thank you P'Gell. This is exactly the type of toy I had in mind when I posted the question. There are others also but at least everyone will have a better idea of the type of toys I would be interested to see demonstrated, without making a porno out of it.
