Have you ever stayed or lived in a haunted location?

What was your experience like? Were you a skeptic before or are you still? Would you stay/live there again?

I wasn't a believer until I lived in 2 haunted houses. One when I was in grade school and one in college. The one in college was frightening, but I only lived there for 3 months.

Having been taught how to remove said energies from locations I tend not to have problems with "unexplained phenomena". I have visited such areas and I do enjoy it but I rarely get spooked.

A few times, as a child.
I wasn't so much as scared, until I was taught to be scared... if that makes sense.

My grandparents' house is haunted. I used to hate sleeping up in the back room because my mom would swear up and down that she saw a black figure walking by the bed when she was growing up. Never saw any figures, but you heard a lot of heavy footsteps going up and down the stairs during the night. After awhile, you just sort of got used to it.

I've always been a believer however I've only been to a few legitimately haunted locations. My partner's parent's house is really old and has been a bed and breakfast in the past. Multiple people have died in the house and there is a lot of unexplained things that happen. My partner's mom has even seen and heard the vacuum turn itself on, unplugged.

I'm also convinced the house I'm currently living in is haunted. I haven't seen or heard any spirits exactly, but the drawers in the kitchen will all be open when I walk into the kitchen or the bathroom lights will be turned on after everyone has been out of the house for hours.

The house I live in is literally across the street from a graveyard, and while instances are infrequent, I've had a few encounters here. Doesn't bother me for the most part. My ghosts seem to be friendly (one even comforted me once), and I think the few times I've been scared by them were either accidents or jokes.

(Psst! You might want to put this topic under "Social" next time. This is the section for sex toy discussions. )

I had a poltergeist in the 8th grade. That wasn't as much scary as it was a pain in the ass. I got blamed for all of it by the ex-step-father.

My parents' den in their current house is haunted. Or was. My ex-husband used to get spooked by the "ghost" all the time.

Funny thing is, I've been living in that den for three years now and haven't had one visitation from her. I know she used to hang about but never did anything. I guess she got bored when my ex left.

Yes, my dad's place is haunted. I was never scared of it when I was a kid because I had been led to believe that this spirit thought of me as her own - it was very Anne Rice's Witching Hour. I've had some interesting experiences, that's for sure.

Not that I know of and I hope NEVER to. I'm scared of that stuff even though I love horror movies and reads. Before I moved with my mom, I made sure to ask about home, like if anyone killed themselves or any known deaths happened in there. I don't want any part of it, I don't know what I really believe as far as paranormal goes, but I don't want to encounter it! My mom turned down a nice home because a man shot and killed himself in the living room.....no thanks. I'd rather stay in a refrigerator box on the sidewalk before I knowingly stay OR live somewhere that could be haunted.
Well, a friend in school (she moved outta state in high school ) had a supposed haunted house, part of the underground railroad ran beneath. I heard stories from her, her family and a couple other friends that stayed. The times I did stay, I was scared to be alone and made me sleep on the other couch in the living room with me and had one of her big dogs lay up with me, lol. I had backup protection....yeah right. I never experienced anything there, thank God.

I haven't lived in a haunted place, but I do believe that I saw a ghost in my parents' house one night.

When I was young, my mom's and my yard backed up against a self proclaimed witch. This was in the 70's. One Halloween, while my mom was at work, my girlfriend and I slipped over to her house. She always had an open house kind of thing on Halloween. I was scared to death afterwards! She had a casket that she said she slept in and all kinds of bones and spooky things in the house.
As I look back on it, I'm hoping she did that just as Halloween decorations. I never went back and was so happy when we moved!
