For the record I'd like to state then when I do this, it's because a name crosses my mind that amuses me, not because I'm that lonely. Well, I am that lonely, but not to the point of imagining sentience in my dildos.
For example, I decided to call the Deep Water G "Alvin" after the deep water submarine, but I don't make the habit of naming any toys after hot actors or anything.

I don't give them names, but I do call them by their name. Sometimes I'll tell my BF that I'm going to go play with Gigi or something like that

Nickname, I suppose? My sweets and i call my Jimmy Jane form 6 "Alien" because his pitch of buzzes sound like a little space ship.

I haven't but only because I can't think of anything fitting. I just got the O2 Mark and love it, but calling it Mark is a bit weird because I have close friends with the same name. My boyfriend and I have been trying to think of something else to refer to it as (beyond just "the O2"), but so far no luck.

I have a blue dildo that is named Papa Smurf because that's what he reminds me of. A glass dildo I own is also called Mr Blue Skies and I have named other favorites of mine. The reason is simple if I'm playing with Hubby and he's reaching into the toy box he knows which ones have names and when I ask him to get me Papa Smurf he knows exactly who I am talking about...

I have no name for my toys apart from the name they are given by the company who produced them. I'll call a vibe a vibe or a dildo a dildo but I won't give them names, its personal preference, not that I find it silly to do.
I have been calling the Thumper me "monster", bcs it's big but it won't last.
